I wouldn't plan on driving any real distance on the new batch of "200" TW wink, wink, tires.

They wear ~ twice as fast as real 200 TW tires.

PharmDZ 07-16-2016 10:11 AM

Is it any worse than driving around on R888 or NT01'something? Lol cause that's what I'm reduced to right now. My front nt01 are finished with tomorrow's autox and I have a set of slightly used direzza zIIs to drive on for a while.

Z1NONLY 07-16-2016 11:22 AM

I'm guessing it's just like driving around on NT01's or any other 100TW tire.

Racing all alone in B Street at the Wilmington champ tour this weekend. I think there's one other 370 here in ASP, gomer_110?

Today (Friday) was the test and tune. I got one run in the dry and then they delayed for lightning. Later got several runs in the rain. The challenge will be if it starts raining, or if rain starts clearing when we run.

Running bs out here in co.

How prepped is your car?

gomer_110 07-22-2016 08:00 PM

Yeah, it's me running in ASP. For once ASP actually made class...until the STI with 2 drivers lost it's motor during test-n-tune. Now it's just me and a co-driver in ASP as Miller's are going to run their Evo in SM. :shakes head:

As much as it can be legally without high dollar shocks. Konis, hotchkis front bar, re71s, downsized wheels with +7mm offset, cat back exhaust, k&n drop in filters.

The course is going to favor the vettes. Lots of long straights starting in the low rpm range. Possibly 3rd gear several places. Someone measured it to be about .9+ miles. I'll see what I can do.

I still have a ways to go. I plan on getting a set of ast so that I can expand the system if the car gets moved to stu.

What are your thoughts on the Hotchkiss bar? I ran it at a few events and hated it but I'm not so sure I want to drop down to the Eibach.

I love it. What didn't you like?

I feel like it is much harder to initiate rotation with the throttle. The car just wants to scrub now, even with square 275. I only have 3 or 4 events on it so I don't want to rule it out just yet.

Still stock in that department. All I have so far are square 275/35 re71 and the sway bar. Stock front camber on my car is -1.1 on the right and -.6 on the left.

I seem to be the only one of those I have polled who feels this way so it definitely seems to be my driving.

I'm going to have a buddy who is a bit quicker than me co drive at an event this weekend to see how he feels about it too.

Thanks for your help.

Koni yellow shocks made a huge difference on my car. That'd be the next thing id do. Good luck

That does seem like a good idea and safe for if I move the car. Thanks for the suggestion.
