Their number didn't show up on the incident report. Not sure if they have having a mech issue or what. Race is still yellow.

I think it's a T&S error. They are showing DP cars on the list. T&S really sucks. Surprising since NASCAR owns Grand Am and the NASCAR timing is actually good.

IDK though. Still under yellow, 30 seconds behind the leader, showing P32. That makes sense. Still needs to get fixed, though.

I think it was just a pit stop. The Mustang that Roush Jr was driving is now showing Billy Johnson in the car and in P29. Bryan is still in the Z from what I can tell.

Timing appears to be fixed. Mustang back in 5th and Doran in 7th.

I'm back. 9 minutes remaining. 911 leading, Mustang second, BJ in 9th.

Doran no longer has the fastest lap of the GS class. Their best so far is a 24.3x, fastest is appears to be a 22.9 from the Roush Mustang, and a 23.0 from the 911.

Race currently under yellow. We'll see if it restarts or finishes under yellow. Restart would only have a couple laps til the finish.

Back under green with 4 minutes remaining! Might get 2, maybe 3 laps to go.

BJ picked up a spot on the restart, now 8th.

2 minutes to go. 911 has a 1 second lead over P2. BJ in 8th has a healthy gap from the cars ahead and behind him.

BJ has caught up to P7 car. On his tail.

They should be on the last lap right now. Waiting for finish results to post...

And that's the race. The Rum Bum Racing #13 911 won. BJ brought the Doran 370 home in 8th place.

P2 qualifying position and a P8 race finish. Another solid result to build off of. Good work, guys. BJ, looking forward to hearing your post-race thoughts!

Entire team did an awesome job.
we have one big flaw right now...and that is absolutely getting ( insert ur fav phase here) on restarts.
The v8s just have so much grunt...
The next big obsticle is that although we can qualify well...there are a couple carsbthat are def the class of the field. The Porsches weigh only 50 lbs on us... but run the GTS engine package...and Porsche is notorious for under rating their numbers.
Thats the sleep car for sure....and Roush mustang.....well its Rousch !

Main thing is we got another race underneath our belts and the car is in one piece.
Watkins Glenn next week.....and we have some stuff to tweak on.

Good job guys. Another solid finish. You're definitely getting hosed on the restarts, need to find a way to minimize the loss to the torque monsters.

Solid result for Doran team but agree you appear to be running into same issues AM team did going up against so many Big displacement cars. It seems like the Z is in between ST and Gs class. Youre qualifying times show the car runs in the open quickly but your lack of displacement hurts when your in traffic. So either you get a rule change that allows you to shed a few more lbs which is doubtful since your turning some of fastest qualifying times or your going to need to get someone to block for you. Maybe pay a Mustang team. Lol!

997 GTS makes over 400 hp with that 4 liter stock. I bet they squeeze nearly 500 hp from that GTS motor. Add a few goodies and essentially you have a GT3 race car. Yeah very fast car and extra 50 lb on that car is nothing. Probably let's them get a little more weight on the front end where they need it.

I think some longer green runs would help as well. Seemed like it took BJ and Bryan a few laps to get into a rhythm and regain lost ground from the restarts. They had a top 5 pace yesterday and would probably have finished there if they had some more green flag time.

Nevertheless a good result to build off of. Hopefully Watkins Glen will be good to them and we'll continue to see solid results.

would the rules allow you to look into a 4.0l stroker kit? sorry i dont really know the rules but just curious..

Negative... We are allowed some engine mods being the smallest NA car in the class... But they won't allow us to go up in displacement.

Eh just put a Turbonator on it, good for at least 50 more HP :P
