Lots of good info to think about over the next month or so

I was fuel starving by the 10th lap this last weekend. When filling up I was only putting in 4 gallons. Fuel starving with 15 gallons left in the tank on OEM rubber is embarrassing for Nissan. I can’t wait to put this on my Z!!

It is so frustrating. I am not a track driver with my Z, just a street guy. But I had it happen to me so many times, it drove me nuts. Being that I have always focused on fuel system upgrades for these cars, I knew that I had found a mini-milestone for my auto parts creation.

Seriously 15 gallons left in the tank caused you to have fuel starvation?

15 gallons? No problem. Lol! I won't experience fuel starve until I'm under 9.

For the fast guys. That's about right. Us slow ones. About 1/2 tank.

DR_ did you get in on the COTA event this weekend, and/or get the fuel starve fix installed? I imagine that will be an awesome test :)

Phunk, if you were going to spec and assemble a fuel cell setup for a Z, which parts would you use and what would it cost? :)

I am instructing this weekend at CoTA and I am taking the Z, however I have not bought this surge tank yet. I don't think we will be getting any longer sessions plus I doubt I will be pushing the car as much as I normally do since this is my first time there. That combined with the colder temps and possible damp track makes me think I will be able to get through a session without fuel starving.
I will be buying the surge tank when I get some of my old race car stuff sold, which should be soon.

The cell alone would cost more than the unit Phunk sells.
