Totally stock 2015 Sport Tech 7AT. Everything stock including the stock tires and wheels. Lots of wheelspin in first and second so I should knock more off this when I learn to launch it. I have only had 5 passes with this car. The rest were in the 13.5 range. My car number is L738

Pull the brake fuse and do a burnout. I can guarantee you will be in the 13-13.2 area

Thanks, that's what I used to do with my Z33. I just didn't have time this time out. It is not as easy to get to as the other Z.

Great times guys! My best was a 13.35 @105 with no fuse pulled and on stock street tires.
San antonio drag strip has been closed so I haven't had the chance to go in a while.

I dont see the point in pulling the fuse and doing a burnout? Just me i guess

and why is that?

TheBoomSpoon 04-07-2015 04:38 PM

Burnout on street tires. I could see if you run DR.

ssmoked 04-07-2015 05:28 PM

But from my 1/4 mile times, the difference between doing a burnout (12.915 @ 106.93 mph 1.939 60ft) and not performing one (13.3 sec; 2.XX 60ft) is quite a difference. The runs were done on the same night with my stock Z.

Could you explain the reasoning?

TheBoomSpoon 04-07-2015 05:43 PM

Good for you. My 1.920 with street tires, no burnout ouside temp 67. I doubt im pulling 1.7s by pulling brake fuse and doing burnout. All im saying is i really doubt this is neccessary on street tires but if you like doing the burnout, go for it.

Huge dependency on track conditions here. Not all tracks have the same traction.

+1

The track down here is pretty sticky, managed mid 1.8x 60ft times if I tried hard enough. Could only manage 1.9x without a burnout.
