thanks!! Do you have any plans to build your motor? I just wonder how much these damn 3.7s can take.. guess so far they have proven to be almost builtproof up to 550+whp

Blades it's ALL about weather conditions and tires. Was ur 12.9 with a better 60 foot?

As far as the motors go I've seen more n/a Motors blow than FI motors. Are all you turbo guys staying on top of your oil level. Are you burning more oil ?

My tires are the same as before, but with more wear over the year. DA was like 700-800 ft higher than before and the 12.9 was with a better 60 ft by ~0.05 s. I felt like I could have broken into the 12's again, but the track prep wasn't good. I kept slipping at the same point on the track where I would be shifting from 2nd to 3rd. The VDC light didn't come on, but I could feel the tires slipping. Gonna try to head out to a better track before the season is over, maybe back to the track where I had my 12.9 run.

I've also been toying with the idea of taking out my passenger seat when I run next time....

If you take out seat you will have to reset the air bag light when you put it back in.
Make sure that you lower the head rest on the seat all the way down before you remove it .(much easyerto remove seat and you will not scratch the plastic interior molding around the doors and the center console. The wiring plugs for the seat can be a pain the first time you take them out. Make sure that your car is off and i disconect my battery before i take it out,and put it back in,
It weights is 51 lbs.

Thanks!

Not sure if I want to do it or not. Might not be worth all the trouble to get it out and put it back in all at the track.

No, but even when it's off it still kicks in sometimes if it detects too much wheelspin. I never bothered to pull the brake fuse though.

The seat is simple to remove. IMO just remove the headrest before you take it out. It's a 20 minute process tops to remove or install it. I didn't pull battery since you get the light either way but there's a pedal reset for thr airbag you don't need to go to dealer.

Just search airbag reset for the pedal reset sequence.

Is it any different for the touring seats? I might try it if I can get someone to go there with me. I need someone that actually has tools and can watch my stuff for me while I run.

Wow, is it like that here at the AutoX runs? You actually have to keep an eye on your stuff? There were thousands of dollars of parts/tools/equipment left all around at every HPDE Ive gone to and nobody even gave it a second thought to just leave them every night...

Idk, but I'm not used to just leaving my stuff there all out in the open and unattended.

Ok so I'm finally heading out to the drag strip tomorrow morning. Taking my passenger seat out tonight with the help of Kirkster. If I don't beat my stock time now I'm gonna be sooooo pissed :icon17:
