Wow! I'd love to see what your car puts down on a dynojet for comparison before you get the turbo on (well, and after too :excited: )

Word to the wise: When you get the car tuned, remind the tuner that if he has to rescale load values to account for boost, this will mess with the shift schedule in auto mode, and excessive gear hunting might be part of what contributes to the AT's failure with the extra power going through it.

None of this may matter, or he may have already thought about it, but wouldn't hurt to just run it by him.

Did you pick up a bigger fluid cooler too?

Nice to see a 370 going to the 1/4..but flywheels and gears are not boltons.

I always use the MM when drag racing. My base line is 264.9 rwhp.

But lets not forget who the quickist 370z in the 1/4 mile is
Jnaut he is the man. 12.3 with bolt ons.
He will be into the 11's before me.
Can not wait to see his time.

I havent read the whole thread so I don't know if this was brought up or not, but I am going to guess you have some sort or weight reduction and were WOT shifting (power shifting).

People really don't realize how much WOT helps get your car to run a better 1/4 mile time as well as increase in trap speed.

GZ3 12-03-2010 10:27 AM

he does not lift to shifttttt

Once the car hooks. You never lift till you go throught the traps. 7800 to 7900 rpm is a good rpm to shift at limiter is set at 8100 rpm.
The differenatal is a bolt on . its attatched with bolts.

God bless the 7 AT.

were going back to the track tomorrow as we just got another cold snap...wootwoot

Dark_Sub_Rosa 12-07-2010 09:29 PM

The whole car is attached with bolts, it's really hard to consider gears a bolt on mod in the general sense of modding.

Spend some time on the American car forums, gears are in the bolt on category.
