Like everyone, I highly recommend an oil cooler, especially as it is summer time. You'd probably only get a few laps before the limp home mode kicks in. Even with my cooler I push for a few laps, ease back for a few, then push again, etc., despite the fact that it will go 12-15 laps without the oil heating up. That just helps the brakes, tranny and diff, etc. too, so that's my method.

And if you'd just like to check it out, come on up and spectate. Find me and I'll give you a ride in my car. I did that before tracking my own car almost a decade ago and was able to decide that the hobby/sport was for me. If you do get an oil cooler, you should be fine.
