Default Any carbotech brakes users? Need help

I am about to order some XP8 or XP10, I would like to confirm the part # listed on their website is the right one since they show the same part for the sport and non sport. Does anyone have a part # I can reference? I have the big brakes.

Thanks

Are you tracking your car? Those pads on the street will be slightly excessive and make an assload of noise.

And dusty as all hell. I clean my rims twice a week with these beasts.

Have you found a good wheel cleaner? The best I've found so far is Mother's, but it still can take some elbow grease and high pressure if you let the dust sit too long.

Looks like you got the numbers now. I could give you the rears when I get home on friday, but I have brembo fronts. I can guarantee however, that the two brake setups don't use the same pads.

I've been cleaning them frequently enough that I don't need wheel cleaner. I do use it periodically though and switched to mothers too.

What kind of life are you getting out of your pads? My 350 with little brakes got 3 events tops per set. The Corvette got 5-6 events. What should I expect, I would assume 5 days in F and 5-6 in R?

Depends a lot on the track. The Carbotech's have the best feel and bite of any pad I have used. Let us know about your wear rates when you've had a chance to put some events on them.

Heavier cars eat up pads quickly. I can dust a set of front XP12's on my GT-R in 2 days on some tracks. But that car weighs 3850lbs and carries a ton of speed. Really depends on too many factors to give you even a ballpark.

I notice the Z uses more rear brakes than most car, so I think the wear rate will probably be the same F&R. I figure my 350 with the tiny brakes lasted 3 events and the C6 got 5-6 days out of it. I think the 370 will probably slot in closer to the Vette due to the 14" rotors. I can only hope right

+2 on noise and dust. They were a little bit noisy before I went to the track. REALLY noisy after. They did work fantastically though....

I just wish I had a garage so I could swap them on my own.
