Sorry to re post on this thread...but my 2 cents (which seemed to be already discussed...but here goes). The Z is a better buy, for me at least, for a few reasons. Gorgeous interior, ample power, great handling, and it's not a Chevy. I could have gotten a Z06, but just didn't want one. Sure it can out perform a Z in every category, but I don't need something that is trying to kill me! For the money, the Z is an amazing value as an everyday car that you can take to school or work or whatever. It's pretty impractical compared to say, an Altima or Camry, but it has those qualities of a comfortable, fun, and simply eye-catching car that happens to be faster than probably 98% of what you'll pull up next to at a light.
If I wanted a purely track vehicle...then hell yeah I'd be in a Z06.
