There are a huge amount of sports car owners who could give a rats *** about power but own the car due to the prestige of it. So it is highly possible the Vette you ran wasn't putting it down all the way. In fact I know for sure he wasn't being that he didn't pull away from you. I've also raced a Vette going from Vegas to California in my 370z. We did 3 runs all starting from about 80mph up to 130-140. Every time he pulled on me pretty easily. It's simple numbers. It's one thing to say you didn't get beat by the Vette, it's another thing to be naive to the fact that the Vette is a superior performance car and the driver probably wasn't pushing the car to it's limits

Also to correct your multiple posts on this subject the current Vette has 430hp and if you opted for the Z06 exhaust upgrade (which most dealers have already put on their Vettes) it increases that number to 436. So we are talking about 104hp more than our Z's. Say what you want but the Vette is probably the best bang for the buck sports car around right now when you compare dollar for performance.

Oh, and your statements about displacement vs. power made and why Chevy can't get more out of the 6.3. You realize the Z06 makes 505hp right? The regular Vette is detuned down to 430hp.
Hey, way to read up on the vette. I thought it had a 6.2 liter motor. My mistake. 430 - 336 = 94 Marginal, I know but since you call yourself calling me out on this matter, I thought I should point out the obvious. Everyone, if 100 horsepower more for 18,000 to 24,000 dollars more is worth it then go for it. Spend, spend away. How fast would the 370 go with 18,000 to 24,000 more dollars put into it??? Hmmm.... the vette your speaking of weighs 3208 to 3311 lbs depending on which model you get (Base Coupe or Grand Sport Coupe). 370Z weighs 3232, 3278 or 3300 lbs depending on what model you get. 370Z + the difference it would cost to get the sweet deal of a car THE GLORIOUS vette. How fast would the 370 be then? I'm sure your going to shoot holes all in this but lets here it. I'm sure your about to say the vette will still be faster. My God, if I didn't know any better, I would have thought I posted my "Can I get ya'lls opinion" thread on a vette forum. Keep in my mind, I never thought/said a 370Z was faster. I asked.... If I had pre-determined outlook on this matter, I wouldn't have ever posted anything regarding a vette. I'm not retired or going through a mid life crisis so an automatic c6 vette will never be an option nor will it be if/when I make it to be this older age I speak of.
