SRS delete

My car now has a salvaged title but the best outcome was to buy it back and use it as a track car. I’m trying to delete the airbags for obvious reasons. I’ve seen people delete the srs in 350’s, is the principle the same in our cars ? Or is there an easier way to turn off the air bag system

Remove the airbags entirely is the safest method

Grab the FSM (link in sig) and it will show you where the connectors are so that you can unplug the bags.

Removing them is best for a dedicated race car (trailer only). If you decide not to remove them just pull the fuse, this is what I do at events.
