What is your track day setup

I am new to the 370z but definately plan on tracking it. I've done plenty of track days on a bike (and some racing in the CMRA) but none ever in a car. The track day best practices thread is awesome but was hoping to get a little deeper. What are you track day upgrades, settings, setup.

Year/Model/Transmission
Wheel Brand/Size/Offset:
Tires/Size:
Pressure:
Brakes/Pads:
Sway bars/settings:
Camber arms:
What Camber/Caster/Toe are you running:
Oil Cooler Brand/Size:
Fluids:
Coilovers/Springs:
Rebound/Compression: (maybe too in depth?)
Other suspension upgrades:
Seats/Harness:
Weight reduction:
Exhaust:
Power upgrades:
Fuel system:
Wing:

Any other setup options?

What are your next upgrades/Changes:

Also what is your experience level? Your driver qualifications?

My apologies if something like this is already out there.

But seriously there are very few things that you should change because you should learn the car first.
Upgrades
1. Safety
Brake Fluid
Brake Pads
Helmet of your own for a good fit.
2. Reliability
Oil Cooler 25-Row or more.
Maybe the CJM RoadRace Fuel setup depending on track and fuel starve situation. If you can keep the tank topped off between sessions or don't have too many high speed long right hand turns this may not be important.

After a few days you will see where you stand and upgrade/mod from there.
There is a sticky for track day best practices too that is very good.

httorihanzo 09-29-2016 02:46 PM

I meant for this to be less about the newbie track day (myself:icon14:) and more about people comparing their track day setups. Not personally for my own use right off the bat but because I dont see anybody discussing this.

i.e in the paddock during my lone star track days all of us with penske triple rear shocks would discuss our rebound and compression settings for that track, that day.

Let people show off how they've already gotten the most out of their Z

The track day best practices sticky is great for the track day beginner, not what I was going after.

10+ track days in both a stock '09 Z and '12 loaded Z

My apologies if something like this is already out there.

(FLAME SUIT ON lol) If you have a '12 or newer you may not need an oil cooler as many people are making it sound as long as it is not FI obviously. I have done a lot of track days when its cooler out, ambient temp 70-80 degrees and my oil has never exceeded 240-ish. It may in the summer when ambient temps are over 100. '12+ have an "oil cooler" which doesn't do too much but I think its softens the edge a little bit. Until you start to learn the Z and drive the living sh!t out of it on the track you may be good without one for your first few days. The tracks I go to (autoclub, button willow, chuckwalla) I haven't really needed it and have been putting up some competitive times, usually mid pack out of all drivers that weekend. Anything earlier than '12 you may get away with 1 or 2 track days before hitting limp mode and discovering your Z (and your) comfort zones.

httorihanzo 09-29-2016 06:03 PM

Right on bshields!

So I paid particularly close attention to my oil temp today on the way home. 2016 Nismo Tech complexity stock with 400 miles. 240 degrees on the way home highway. 75 degrees outside temp.

Interestingly enough once I got out of the 45-50 mph traffics and cruised at 80 my oil temp came down.
