Could I use the stock ones which are 245/40..??

That might be cutting it a little close. You can always try to dial in more camber, however your ability to fine-tune the fitment would be limited if you're not running height adjustable suspension.

What about getting the fronts in +22 and putting in 5mm spacers to end up with +17..??

How would this work..?? Would I need more than 5mm spacers to clear the sport Akebono's..?? The next ones in size are the 10mm ones and for that matter it would be the same as getting the wheels in +12...
