I know what a jerk, I need someone to make me a meme of scumbag steve with: Makes weekly car meet... decides not to support.

I was the one bowling guys, sorry I could not make it, this was the last event for the program I am in at UH and had to attend if I want to be a board member next semester, have to appease them.

Ron 04-13-2012 10:12 AM

Matt are u attending nismo fiesta?

theDreamer 04-13-2012 10:15 AM

On that note, we are up for a new location this next week.
I was thinking possibly Hooters in Katy this time, the Astros are also playing at 7PM so we can catch that game if anyone here cares about baseball.

I'm really not sure what there really is to pre-register for. The cruise is on a public road. It's ten bucks for the car show which they'll gladly take on Sunday.

Ron 04-13-2012 12:08 PM

Hotel still has rooms.

jennyt71 04-16-2012 06:05 PM

anything planned for this Thursday?

guru 04-16-2012 06:15 PM

hopefully something inside the loop and not so darn early...... maybe an 8 or 830 start:tup:

It's hard to time it right. If we start at 7, some people can't make it because of work, etc. But if we start at 8 or later then it will be too late for people to go out because we won't get home until 10:00-10:30 or later. Even that first meet at Texadelphia that started at 7, I got home after 10 and I drove home pretty quick that night. Maybe a poll is in order? I do know that if you can make it there by 8, that is usually not too long after we go inside to eat after talking.

guru 04-16-2012 06:27 PM

well i have another idea..... the z club of houston meeting is tomorow at hickory hollow at 630 or 7 why dont we hit that up.

I think that was the plan anyway lol. I was going to do both.

theDreamer 04-16-2012 08:30 PM

Well I was going to do Hooters in Katy but how about Hooters off 59 right after Kirby?
The reason for 7PM is it fits the majorities schedule, and for those who get off at 8-8:30PM please come out, these meets are not a 7-8PM schedule. They will go as late as people want, and no one is going to be mad if you show up after 8PM and order food, we just might steal some fries. :p

I'll be there to eat by 6:30 pm. Fingers crossed the meeting will start at 7:00 pm like last month - THANKS JOHN!

It's time the group of us that seem to show up at all the events start contributing to directing the Club.

guru 04-17-2012 12:22 AM

to early for me but i will try and swing by after work. the later start worked for me, but i understand u guys prefer the early start. keep me posted on the topics as im interested.

A later start is fine, it's the fact that it doesn't start on time. Don't advertise a 6:30 pm dinner/7:00 pm start, and then have the meeting commence at 7:45 pm. I really would prefer not to arrive for 6:30 pm and then sit around until almost 8:00 pm for a meeting to start.

If it's too hard for the majority to get there for 7:00 pm, then simply move it back. Whatever the start time, the meetings shouldn't take more than an hour to complete.

With a 6:30 pm dinner time/7:00 pm start time, I'll just stay at the office until 6:15 pm; it's not worth trying to fight traffic home just to turn around to run to the meeting. If the time gets moved back, then I'll go home first.

John did a great job starting the meeting on time last month. We were out of there by 8:15 pm.

Finally seeing how Baker operates eh? Super slow huh.

Ron 04-17-2012 12:46 PM

I don't mind the slowness because Jason does pay attention to detail and triple checks every step he takes. It is something else that bothers me and I won't discuss it here.. yet.

I'll take Jason every time because he's conscientious and knows exactly what he is doing.

Good work costs money and takes time.
