Mech, if you wanna do the lights (including LEDs) I'd be more than happy to help. Now that I've seen it done/done it myself I'd feel confident doing a set on my own. We'd just need a big enough oven, heh. I wonder if the oven in my new apt will be big enough...

ya, it's not too bad once you get over the fear of cracking open the headlights.

vipor 04-26-2010 08:50 AM

Never had the fear ;) Just needed to see it done once.

BTW, if you want anymore gloves I can get them at a discounted rate. Lots of other weird stuff too like trashcans, floor mats, etc etc.

Caravanshaka 04-26-2010 08:52 AM

lol, you can be my purchasing manager vipor

vipor 04-26-2010 08:54 AM

I don't think you need one actually..

....Tony on the other hand....

Mech, the timing is bad to do anything else for a while, my daughter will be here no later than the 7th, then I'll probably have a couple months before I get into the swing of things enough to commit to a day of working on the car.

comeing up there june 20th ... for a wedding

The LEDs are easy from what Joe was describing, Vipor can easily wire it, then you just have to drill.

vipor 04-26-2010 03:01 PM

Yeah wiring is uber easy to me.

Caravanshaka 04-26-2010 03:07 PM

ya, the hardest part is getting into the headlights. the LED's are pretty easy as long as you have soldered before.

labk888 04-27-2010 12:01 AM

I could use some help too. :) I was thinking of doing the whole iron man + landing strip thing.

Do you guys have a another get together planned sometime soon?

Potential TX resident-to-be in the future here. I'm retiring in June the 3rd, and me and my wife are seriously considering San Anton' as THE main alternative. Our son's at the Laredo South B.P. Station, which is less that 3 hrs away from S.A. I care for my 91-year-old mother, but when the Lord recalls her soul, TX is our first option. Greetings, ya'll!

Caravanshaka 04-27-2010 02:47 PM

TX sucks, don't bother

vipor 04-27-2010 02:54 PM

ayo.marv 05-02-2010 05:44 PM

From Garland :) Just bought a Touring/Sports Pkg Monterey Blue Z, last night! Any local meets around the Dallas area?

theDreamer 05-02-2010 05:47 PM

Nope, no one ever meets in Dallas. :p

ayo.marv 05-02-2010 05:52 PM

Haha Oh yeah? :P

theDreamer 05-02-2010 06:06 PM

I am sure Vipor or Caravan will stop in here on Monday and give you all the meet up times/locations/etc. I know there is a Z club of Dallas that meets, sometimes the guys (and gals if any) get together to do some mods together. Recent mod was doing headlights at Caravans.

Caravanshaka 05-03-2010 11:31 AM

browse the texas section of the forum. I believe Courtesy Nissan has a show on the 23rd, and 3rd thursday of every month is z-club of texas meetings.
