It's near the Oasis but doesn't actually lead to it.

Morbid370Z 06-08-2015 10:47 PM

Got my exhaust leak fixed and I heat-wrapped my mid-pipes. Car is much happier!

Thanks again for all the help JARBlue, you are awesome. Gotta give credit to Ms. Pint also, for selflessly parting out her Z. :3

Awesome, where was the leak coming from.

Both flanges between the lead pipes and the mid-pipe were leaking. New gaskets took care of the problem.

It was pretty bad. Once we got under the car, we could spin the nut/bolt on the flanges by hand. They were tightened together, but were not holding the flanges together at all really

Pintsize725 06-09-2015 09:49 AM

I'm throwing two codes today: U1000 and P2A03. :shakes head:

From what I can tell it is 02 sensor related.

I've got an appointment to get it diagnosed by a shop that JMS works with in Austin.

Anyone down for brunch this coming weekend? Saturday or Sunday morning, say at Bacon or Z Tejas?

Possibly! My better half is moving to Austin this weekend, so I need to see what plans are.

When the headers/exhaust were taken off did they use a an impact tool. Heard that can mess with the 02 Sensors. Hope that is not the case.

Not sure but it's the first thing I told them when I called this morning. They claim to have followed the same procedure as installing them. I have an appt to get it checked in south Austin and they are picking up the dime on getting it fixed.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to try to make this one if the weather is good. Roads out here are terrible right now so it's been tucked away for a while. 1431 is rock chip city right now because of that stupid new subdivision going in.

After visiting Austin in early March I have been watching the water level at Lake Travis on the web. The lake level is up about 50 feet since January. You might actually have water to overlook at the Oasis on Sunday :).

I got caught in that too... Totally forgot about that. I immediately went to bronco car wash in Lago and tried to clean that crap up. Was that tar?? Why in the world would they do that?!?! It was tracked for MILES down 1431 by all the traffic that day.

I think it's crazy enough that the damn subdivision can get away with having that road tore up like that for this long. Pisses me off. Grrrr

Yup, check out the article below and consider filing a claim.

Drivers file claims after hitting tar on 1431
