Has anybody had service work done at Town north, my car just locked up and wont start, having it towed there.

I had a coolant leak "fixed" there under warranty. About two months later, the leak was still present. Went back, "fixed" it. Another few months later, still present.

I refuse to go back since they denied my defective paint claim with Nissan even though the service manager agreed that it hadn't been repainted. :icon14:

Round Rock Nissan isn't any better.

San Marcos Nissan has a great service department. Might be a bit of a drive for you but I highly recommend them.

Austonian 11-19-2014 03:37 PM

I wish I could but the car is already dead, roadside wont tow that far.

The old Town North service manager was absolutely terrible. With them having a new service manager, I would say you've got a decent shot at getting decent dealer service. Depends on your problem. The Austin Z Clinic is just up the road from there (on 183 frontage road between McNeil and Anderson Mill) if you have problems with the dealer.

Thanks, it seems to have all the signs of the recall but I checked my vin and got this,
not even the right car.

JARblue 11-20-2014 08:58 AM

So it was the ESCL? Dealer should get you taken care of then.

WTF on the VIN results... need to get that squared away as well. Have you had body work done? Do the VINs of all your panels match up?

Yeah, got my lady back this morning. They did the job in under two days and the advisor I worked with was decent. There were a few details with the experience that would keep me from spending my money there for future maintenance. The repairs were covered under my ext warranty but I'm still upset that Nissan won't just fix this flaw that has caused soo many people stress.

When I bought the car, I knew what I was getting into. I've had numerous Z's and a few other Nissan's but I signed the paperwork for better or worse.
We'll have to chalk this one up in the worse category.

What's up guys!!:hello: I've been in Austin for 3 days. I am enjoying the weather and people here. :) And I spotted 3 370z in one day which is impossible in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Lol.

1. Gun metallic 370 with sport package parked near Lakeway Marina.

2. Gun metallic 370 with AJ fenders/cf accent turned left onto 620.

3. Red 370 on 2222.

Are you guys on here?? Lol.

forza370z 11-30-2014 10:57 PM

I also spotted lots of 350s and g35 coupes. One thing interesting tho is no one(almost) in Austin drives Subaru WRX/Sti. They can be spotted every block in Mass or NH lol... The most sports car on the road I saw in Austin is Corvette.:icon17:

Hardly anyone in Austin is on the forum it seems. Not sure why. Although a couple of the people I have spoken to about it gave a look/attitude that makes me glad they aren't on here (I think those people must be from CA :stirthepot:).

Haha... I haven't really spoken to car guys/gals in Austin. But people in general are very nice. I certainly enjoyed the trip. Now I am back to the cold weather again.:shakes head:

athlon omega 12-07-2014 12:55 AM

I know I have to remember to check the forum often or I forget. Pintsize725 usually texts me when there's a get together happening. I'll definitely make an effort to come out more regularly. I'm not sure if I may make the San Antonio meet though.

jsutton2 12-07-2014 03:42 PM

I'm always checking here for things. I'll usually attend local events at the drop of a hat. Pint has my number I think.

I'm going to try to make it to San Antonio for that show. I'll just be a spectator as well.
