LOL I'm not one to "brag" about how much I spent on my car and I get it asked a lot. However... Those go for; $2500-$3000.

That's pricing for a set, not each

Little update;

I have less than 10 payments on the car itself and hopefully I get a job I applied for and it's game on. I've decided to stick with the VQ35DE and do a complete Cosworth build.

Cosworth Short Block:

New Nissan VQ35 Alloy Block
New Nissan Forged Crankshaft (81.4mm)
Balanced to within .5 gram
Cosworth Forged H-beam Connecting Rods
Cosworth Forged Pistons and rings (95.5mm)
Cosworth High performance Rod and Main Bearings
Cosworth High Performance Main Bearing studs
Complete blue-print assembly
Ring gap set
Bearing clearance set
Deck height set
Connecting Rod side clearance set
Crankshaft end float set
Complete balancing of rotating assembly

Cosworth Heads:

CNC Ported/Machine finished port
Intake 19% (max) increased flow
Exhaust 22% (max) increased flow
4-angle Inlet Valve job
3-angle & radius Exhaust Valve job
Back-Cut Inlet Valves
Heads are Ultra Sonic cleaned prior to assembly
Heads are Serialized and sport a machined Cosworth logo
+1mm Stainless Steel Intake Valves (1800 degrees max.)
+1mm Inconel Exhaust Valves (2400 degrees max.)
Performance Valve Springs
Titanium Retainers
Hardened Steel Spring Platforms
Knife edged port divider
Combustion chamber volume 58.5cc (OE approx 56 cc)

Cosworth ZK1 Grind Cams:

Intake "268" deg. 10.4mm lift / Exhaust "268" deg. 9.5mm lift

Cosworth VQ35 High Volume Fuel System

O-ring fittings
Compatible with original or aftermarket injectors
Fully configurable
Sleeved high pressure fuel lines
CNC machined distribution block with auxiliary port

Tuning will be completed by the;

HalTech Platinum PnP Standalone Engine Management System

· End User Tunable (not locked like some EMS on the market)
· Sequential Fuel and Ignition Control (32x32)
· Complete Intake and Exhaust Cam Control ('03-'05 Intake Cam control only) (24x24)
· Cylinder Trim Tables for each injector and ignition coil (8x8)
· Configurable AXIS and Load points for all tuning tables
· Tuning via MAF, TPS, or MAP
· Fuel tuning by Volumetric Efficiency (VE) or Injection Time (MS)
· Open/Closed Loop Boost Control, with wheel speed and wheel slip adjustments
· Dual Channel Closed Loop 02 Control
· Map Trace
· Onboard Data Logging
· USB Communication (no outdated Serial cable required)
· New Windows Tuning Software, ‘Haltech ECU Manager’
· 32Bit Microprocessor, 55MHz
· Plug and Play Loom
· User defined rev limiter ('03-'04 only)
· Auxiliary two-step rev limiter
· Knock Detection
· Overboost Protection
· User Configurable Inputs and Outputs
· Nitrous and Meth Injection Control
· Nissan/Infiniti CAN Communication Integration - provides individual wheel speeds, steering angle, G-force, yaw (on applicable models)

Haltech Dual Channel Wideband AFR Kit & Haltech Boost Control Solenoid Kit

Upgrading the Exhaust;

GReddy Racing Ti-C Cat-back

Full dual 70mm w/ dual mufflers

Also upgrading the BBK;

StopTech Trophy Sport Kit

Fully forged aluminum construction with hard anodized finish
Patented, bolt-in bridge minimizes caliper compliance for a firmer pedal
Stiffest 6 Piston caliper currently on the market
Uses standard FMSI D1247 pad
ST-40 uses standard FMSI D372 pad
Front & Rear floating 355mm x 32mm rotors
ALL finished parts are 100% leak down and pressure tested to 2500 PSI
Uses a popular pad shape readily available in over 15 street performance and race friction compounds
Over 19 different piston size combinations available to tune brake torque to the needs of each individual application
Differential piston sizes minimize pad taper for longer pad life and a firmer pedal
Dust boots are standard for reduced maintenance on Sport Trophy Kits

Lastly I'm doing a complete suspension upgrade of all SPL components and coil overs from Tanabe.

Tanabe Sustec Pro SEVEN with TEAS

SEVEN advances the technologies and greatest strengths of previous high performance Tanabe suspensions like the RR & DD even further. While similar in appearance, the SEVEN is completely different from any suspension currently available. The difference lies within the suspension itself and its highly unique internal construction and slide valve technology.

The new slide valve technology allows a great range of adjustability and function from both sides of the performance spectrum. (comfort to pure competitive motorsports use)

When used with the new TEAS electronic active suspension controller, the wide range of dampening force is accessible through the touch of a button, and is fully programmable to automatically adjust dampening rates according to the speed you drive.

When used with the new TEAS electronic active suspension controller, the driver can program TEAS to automatically adjust Sustec Pro SEVEN - HARD DRIVING version to automatically change dampening force based on studied entry and exit speeds of various turns, as well as average lap speed.

And lastly... My 3rd gear went on me couple weekends ago. So I'm thinking of adding the OS Giken close ratio gear kit;

OS Close Ratio Gear Kits are produced for those seeking improved drive train performance and faster lap times. Gear ratios are carefully calculated for each application for the sole intention to improve your transmission's performance, and maximize your engine torque band on the track.

Each OS gear has been carefully designed and created using selected only forged quality materials, for extra strength and durability. In addition to using forged materials, gears are also hard shot peened for increased strength, load capacity and reliability.

1st 2.783 / 2nd 1.961 / 3rd 1.507 / 4th 1.217 / 5th 1.000 / 6th 0.812

If I don't go with this gear set I'm also considering the Quaife tranny but concerned about streetability. We'll see... Much more to come.
