If I remember correctly, the black coating on the area in contact with the pads will be scraped off correct?

Are there any weight savings to these over OEM?

Yes will wear off. I don't have the weights of these. I would say the weight the same as oem rotors.

Awesome, thanks Charles. I'm glad they coat the whole thing though, the set I have right now doesn't have a coating all the way out, so there is a half inch rust ring around the inside area between the hub and the pad contact area.
