I agree. GB lost that game many times. From settling for FGs on the first few drives, to not making a play on the 2-point conversion and giving up 3rd and 19. Seattle deserved to win, but I am a Packer fan, always will be. Oh well, next year.

They may be going to the big game, but it's not going to be a repeat of Super Bowl XLVIII.

They gave GB a false sense of security then smacked them at the end :rofl2:

Despite my hate for the Seahawks because of the Packers game, it was pleasant to see their luck run out at the last minute. Now all the loud mouthed Seattle fans got a taste of what they were gloating about 2 weeks ago.

It's not so fun when it happens to your team, just like the Cowboys and their "catch".

Aside from co-workers of mine who get to walk in to work this morning and see me grinning from ear to ear, it was a GREAT GAME. Exciting up to the last minute, even the poor sportsmanship was because of frustration, I don't blame them. I'd be mad if I blew it too.

Some of the stories on the local news here about a guy from Colorado who lost out on the $7000 tickets he reserved through a broker for him and his son to only pay $28,000 at the last minute to go to the game and watch their team lose. That's painful on any level. Our city of Glendale, Scottsdale and Phoenix did a great job hosting this year on the game and events around town.

The Wasted Management Open was another awesome spectacle yet again with all of the pictures of the women wearing 6 inch stilettos to walk around in the grass and the mud while it rained for 3 days was entertaining too.

I love Arizona, I love the Packers and I look forward to next season because until then, I'm back to a lot of neglected Sunday chores. Congrats to both teams for a great game and to Lenny Kravitz for wearing a shirt under his leather jacket for once.

The game didn't disappoint, but I would have loved to see Gronk run over to Sherman and try and shake his hand like he did Crabtree. :roflpuke2:

Dallas should have been in the NFC Championship, we'd have beaten Seattle. We'd have beaten New England in the Superbowl.

We were ******* cheated. That hurts the most.

Phoenix knows how to put on a Superbowl. Barret Jackson the weeks before, then SB + WMPO = best three weeks in Phoenix. Hopefully we'll get another host in the coming decade.

The game was at least entertaining. The commercials (aside from the Mexico Avacado one) sucked. The Scientology one was ******* stupid. Everything was so depressing.

No, by the actual call. It was a catch, no two-ways about it.

Meh, they've played out that stupid puppy and clydesdale commercial. Time for something new.

And the stupid animal lovers got the GoDaddy ad pulled. ******* twats. It's a commercial! It's not real life!

I feel like any other day of the year that would have been a catch. Rulebook controversy aside..

You are so biased lol. According to the rule book, it was incomplete. A lunge is not defined in the rule book as a football move, so you have no argument. I don't disagree with you that it should have been ruled a catch. The rules should be changed. But the refs made the correct call according to the rules. No two ways about it.

I haven't seen a puppy and Clydesdale commercial like that one before. Sure they have puppies and stuff and they're cute and all. But nothing like the lost puppy story. I'm sorry you have a heart of stone :p

What GoDaddy commercial? Was it any good?

I feel like it might not have been overturned by some refs. If anything, I feel like they would have been more conservative in their call and not overruled it in the playoffs. But it is what it is.

Is a move up field not considered a "football move"?:stirthepot:

A step/turn is considered a football move, which is what he did. That's a catch. No bias, by the book it was a catch.

Budweiser did the puppy/clydesdale commercial last year, and I believe the year before.

The GoDaddy one was making fun of the Budweiser one and selling puppies online or something (which ******* happens, PETA, and it's perfectly fine).

Not if you don't have your balance. That was the issue according to several rules experts the NFL Network had talking about it.

rooftop 02-03-2015 08:42 AM

i couldn't sleep after the seahawks lost. that interception just kept playing over and over in my head. i can't be emotionally invested in football any more. it's almost as bad as dating and relationships

Oh, and I don't have a heart of stone, it's just not something that should be done for a Superbowl ad. They're supposed to be funny.

I guess there are no talented people in the advertising/marketing business for these companies anymore. /shrug

All of the commercials made me want to hit someone, cut myself, kick a puppy, and crash a car (Nissan).

I don't have feels. It's like female hygiene products. Keep it in woman's magazines, don't put your bleeding vagina all in my face.

lol you're like talking to a Nissan dealer :stirthepot: :icon17:

You're correct a step/turn is considered a football move, but only if you're not still in the process of the catch. If you don't regain your balance, taking an extra step does not count as a separate football move or act. He was continuing to fall as part of the catch process, despite there being a lunge in there as well. Can't blame the refs. Seriously. You have no argument.

The NFL actually used this catch by Calvin Johnson in 2010 as part of an educational video to explain the rules. Fuckin stupid idiots. Hopefully this ridiculous rule screwing Dallas out of a playoff game will finally be enough to get it fixed.

I hope you know I'm just giving you $hit :p

I agree they should be funny. But where is that a rule? Obviously, people don't want funny any more. Otherwise, there would have been more funny ads

The whole idea of advertising in today's society sickens me. To misrepresent a product in order to maximize sales and profits :shakes head: And the fact that the general public is so predictable that marketing in this fashion actually works is even more sickening. I'll be honest, I fast forwarded through the commercials whenever my wife wasn't watching with me. I hear about the funny ones later and watch them individually.

Haboob 02-03-2015 09:19 AM

They've been "funny" for the last umpteen million years (slight exaggeration).

Everyone at our party wanted funny ads, as did Facebook. :icon17:

These stupid athletes keep beating their wives and girlfriends and making it public, so now we have to have ads that bring awareness to when these girls won't shut their mouths kill the good vibe at the Superbowl party.

Haboob 02-03-2015 09:20 AM

******* puppies and horses. Feels... :(

Different jokes for different folks :tiphat: I didn't laugh the second time I watched it, must have been that 1 beer buzz I had going.

To be honest, most of those commercials were far too serious and that seemed to be the general consensus of everything I've read.

Think for once we talked more during the commercials than the game.

Haboob 02-03-2015 08:47 PM

Yeah, we have hardly watched the commercials the past few SB's.

And does anyone actually watch the halftime show? In thirty years, I can't say that I've ever watched a HT show of the SB.

Actually, I never watch the halftime show. In fact, I went upstairs to :postwhore: while my wife watched it.
