I dont know why he was ever even considered a midfield player, his ground passing game needs work, however, his final ball has improved drastically and his goal scoring ability as of late has been amazing, seems hes been a striker all along. As far as the 4-4-2 goes, I think if its played as a diamond midfield with the central midfielder slotted in just behind the left and right forward, this could be a great transition for Arsenal. While I love the tried and tested 4-3-3, its more about a quick attack/counter attack and utilizes less possession which Arsenal needs more of, sure we can piece together a quick and dangerous attack, but time management is a huge problem for us when we play more possession based teams like Barca or ManUre.
