Is Domenech to blame?

Domenech is largely to blame-- a good coach is able to galvanize his players. Also, leaving out Nasri was a questionable move.

Today was awful-- he fielded four or five left-sided players. Gourcuff didn't have a good first match, but at least he plays through the middle.

2006's relative success was IN SPITE of Domenech, not because of him.

Domenech does not have the capability to rally his players together as a cohesive force. He somehow manages to split them all apart (even if they're club teammates) and get as little production as possible out of maximum talent.

I'm VERY disappointed to not see Gourcuff in there as well, and they really could have benefited from a quick and creative Nasri.

Abidal was caught out of position on both goals today. I like him, but he's a left back (who lacks Thuram's centre back positional sense). Why was he in the center over someone like Squillaci?
