without a doubt, finally a game with more than 1 goal scored, by far the most entertaining so far. It got to a point where I kinda started to feel for the Aussies, and Tim Cahill got fucked royally, practically misses the rest of the world cup from a stupid call.

well to be quite honest, I think Ballack is very one dimentional, he passes well and can shoot, but hes had problems tracking back defensively and his stamina late in the game is questionable. I think the Germans found a good replacement, and I was surprised that Khedira and Ozil played as well as they did.

What? He is one of the best defensive midfielders in the game lol. But yes....like I said the absence of Ballack hasnt worried me because I've seen what their youth talent could do. Khedira and Ozil...ESPECIALLY Ozil are very, very talented. Now you are starting to think I am not so crazy for putting Germany in the final, huh!?!

+1 for thinking Ballack is overrated. He's never impressed me & is a bit of a prat. I hate that he was injured the way he was-- it's unfortunate to be injured that close to a big tournament-- but I'm glad I won't have to see him whine for a month & am glad that it's giving new people a chance to shine.

2010 World Cup: FIFA president Sepp Blatter bucks criticism of vuvuzela hum - ESPN Soccernet

Quote:
JOHANNESBURG -- FIFA president Sepp Blatter has defended South African fans' right to blow their vuvuzela horns at World Cup matches despite global criticism from television viewers of the constant blaring noise.

The head of soccer's governing body says Africa has "a different rhythm, a different sound," and the fans' tradition shouldn't be stopped.

Blatter asks in a Twitter message: "Would you want to see a ban on the fan traditions in your country?"

World Cup organizing committee spokesman Rich Mkhondo says vuvuzelas will not be banned in stadiums. Responding to questions at a news conference, Mkhondo said vuvuzelas are ingrained in South Africa's history and were used by its forefathers.

Mkhondo says South Africa's guests should embrace its culture and how its people celebrate.

Fck that sh!t

If my country's tradition was to sound so god-dam annoying and force me to watch the match on mute then to hell with it, I'd be more than happy to have it banned
