I kind of applaud the audacity to even attempt it, let alone with the outside of his foot...

I've never been able to hit outside of foot shots well.

probably one of my best shots, i'm a big fan of running straight onto a free kick and using outward bend, scored quite a few that way, keepers never expect it.

i can curl it in with the inside of my foot, or laces dead on. outside of my foot? i'll probably make an arse out of myself trying lol

as a wing player, its a vital skill to master, nothing beats beating a defender and curling an outswinger into the kill zone, or dribbling a ball into the right hand side of the box and bending one far post, I wished that this newest gen predator boot would have the curve zone on the outside part of the boot as well.

phelan 10-14-2011 02:37 PM

^ i don't have the pace or trickery to be a winger. i do, in a pinch, make a decent CAM.

most of hte time, though, i'm right back, i curl in crosses very often, or cut in and toss a through pass with my left. no need for shooting.

its kinda funny how i've progressed through the years, I played left back until I was 15. Coach decided that my ball control was too good to be wasted on the left side of the pitch, so for the remaining 3 years of high school, I migrated to the central/left midfield. When I graduated and started playing for more clubs, I trained more with emphasis on scoring and was finding the back of the net alot, so I moved to more of a "holding striker" position because of my distribution skills and ability to score. Since i've been playing for SV Mackenbach here in Germany, i switched to the left wing and have had alot of success, honestly I think its a position I should have played all my life but my teams have never ran a formation that allowed for it.

yep, and we put even smaller ones inside them, the goal is to have to put the ball in the areas between the small net and the larger one, makes it harder, so basically you have to hit a corner or the space above the small goal.

Dude I tried to play on a net that small and its so difficult lol. Really screws with your head being used to a full size.
