F1 Malaysia is on!!
|
I don't hate any drivers, except Lewis Hamilton. Ugh. I feel so bad for Riccardo, 2 straight disappointing weeks

Massa wont suffer as the team gained the same amount of points and Botox had 56 laps to pass him and didnt - so who cares LOL! Hulk should be at Ferrari but right now he is in a car almost as fast and Im betting next year he isnt in a slow one(Mclaren anyone?) Season is great! Too much bitching about noise etc. The cars have torque more errors are being made and who will ever catch Mercedes??? Big parties around my area tonight near Stuttgart! |
I'm happy Hamilton won! I guess I'm in the minority here. I actually met Hamilton in London in 2010. Nice enough guy....really short.
|
I have been watching about 6 F1 races a year for the last couple of years, so I decided to catch all the races this year. I am starting to rethink this as the Malaysian race was one of the all-time most boring races I have ever witnessed. Sorry to disagree with Niki Lauda...the hybrid engines are completely stupid IMHO. I am so disappointed :(
Hopefully the Bahrain race will turn me around. Love the cars and the tracks, but I absolutely have no favorite driver as they are completely boring. Sorry to be critical if you love F1. Hopefully someone can talk sense into me :) |
Those engine choices by F1A, were to keep Renault in F1. The series could not afford to lose them, so they caved.
|
I don't have a big problem with the engine swap, it actually makes things interesting since there are actually engine failures and teething problems that help make things interesting. I do have a problem with the sound! Even Indy cars have a small V6 turbo and they sound better, and that's sad!! They need to make them louder stat.

I miss the high-revving v8s.

it is interesting but also weird of how's the current V6 turbo sound, back in the days with those Honda V6 turbo in the 80s sounds much louder n nicer.
And they were... V6 Turbo with displacement less than 2000cc... |
Team F1 fans - Bahrain this weekend!! 2 races in a row. Use that link Ive posted for SKY. They are replaying Malaysia and you can catch the F1 Show on Sky for some F1 updates/data etc!

Ok that was a great race! At least there was a battle up front so F1 feed had to show the leaders and not a sole leader falling asleep 40sec ahead of P2. Mid pack battles were great as well. Force India was a FORCE today!
Maldonado's handy work attached :) |
Great shot!

what a race..!! it is nice to see there's some healthy battle between the top 2  on the engine sound.... I close my eyes and I can think of 20 vacuum machines running around a circuit.. :bowrofl: |
I agree with everyone on the sound of the new engines, but we will just have to hear them in person. :driving:
|
Maldanado needs to be gone. He's too much of a loose cannon.
|
Great race! Glad that Esteban wasn't injured.
|
Riciardo is certainly making Vettel look ordinary !!

and to my surprise he blames Esteban on that incident |
Hands down one of the best races I have watched in a really long time.

He is falling on the sword for Ferrari, their problems run much deeper.

No matter, Ferrari had 2 years to build a good power unit and in fact have gone backwards compared to last year after race 3 so far. I dont expect much to change unless they simply build a better car overall. I see Alonso looking to leave if things dont get radically better. Why should he stay. He has done all he can. I see him possibly going to Mclaren and taking Button's spot among other possibilities for next year. |

not sure about the drivers but improvements won't happened til at least 1/3 or 2nd half of the season. the chassis is built thus there's not much they can do if the problem is fundamental. |

Interesting practice today. Ferrari showing a bit of pace. Mercedes of course not showing the full package but were doing well. New front wing for Mercedes as well.
