Great BBC link on Alonso vs Kimi this year!

BBC Sport - Are Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen a Ferrari dream team?

I don't see Kimi besting Alonso at all.

Watch SkySports F1 : SkyF1 Live Stream Online

Use this link to watch SKY later tonight or now if you like as they are re-playing practice sessions from Australia. Also Prac 3 and Qualy tomorrow!

Second free practice results - 2014 Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix

Vettel completed the FP2 as 4th fastest with 41 laps.

The most laps among all the drivers.

Red Bull, as always, always has an answer.

Looking forward to FP3 and qualify. :excited:

What the hell have they done with the sound of those new engine set-ups?! They sound like tractors!

The front of the new cars are pretty fugly too!

Wow! I don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't watched it yet so I'll wait until discussion starts.

^^Indeed! And the plot thickens post-race, thar be spoilers here:

BBC Sport - Formula 1

Today was insane and there is more fallout on the way. Great race. Thats all im saying :)

Pintsize725 03-16-2014 08:08 PM

OK it's been enough time.

I loathe RBR but DR totally deserved that podium spot and it's complete BS to DQ him!
I'm really shocked that Hamilton's car just didn't have the power today.
I got really upset when Massa was taken out by that one guy who's name I can't recall the spelling of.

So many of the big players taken out by engine issues just made it that much more interesting.

Bottas was insane. I believe if he hadn't blown that tire, he'd would have had a huge chance at winning.
15 to 6 back to 19 back to 6. Amazing drive.

Haboob 03-18-2014 09:25 AM

I missed the race. :(

Oops.

Watch SkySports F1 : SkyF1 Live Stream Online

Use this for the races. Check SKY SPORTS F1 online listings for the F1 show and replays. Its always on and tonight has some decent F1 type programming. Great way to learn about the sport / lastest and greatest etc. Its the best channel in the English speaking world for F1. I get it here in Germany. I cannot imagine living without it. No other broadcaster is as comprehensive. Nothing.

Is Mark Webber commentating for the rest of the season on BBC? Anyone know?

He was commenting locally in Australia for the local TV coverage. Not sure what the BBC has going on with him. He is going to be driving the Porsche at LeMans this summer and some other races. If I hear something I will post it up.

Worth a read here about the current status of F1/Bernie and the 'sound' :)

Sport is big business and F1 is just that. Im still a fan and the new tech is amazing. Great practice sessions today!

Just found this thread, which is sweet because I rarely meet other F1 fans!

Am I the only Infiniti Red Bull fan here?

No! Im a Ferrari/Red Bull/Williams/Mercedes/Mclaren etc etc. I love F1. Red Bull looked much better today but tire degradation will be a big part of a dry race this weekend. Rain is always a threat in Malaysia!

I am not a fan of any team, look at them the same level.

but if I have to pick one team that I don't like.... maybe ferrari....

too much politics....

This will be the first real race on a proper circuit. We will have a good idea of how the leaders are doing now. I just hope its dry so we can see who is really good on the tires in the heat and who is not. Rosberg said he was really surprised how bad the tires were wearing!

We're pure racing fans here! Look at my avatar. Most of us don't like the left-turn-lullaby known as NASCAR.

LostSol 03-28-2014 05:06 PM

I am seriously excited for this race. Do you guys watch at the crazy hours or are you like me and DVR them and watch them first thing in the morning.

Im a HUGE fan of any open-wheel racing (so F1 and Indy) as well as endurance racing. I was at Sebring for the 12 hour the last 2 years and its a hella good time.

This. Although it's hard to not check social media in the AM.

If you are on Google+, there is a large F1 community and the Sauber team has great interactions with fans.

6MT 03-28-2014 05:11 PM

I try and watch them live. Yes, crazy! As far as Indy goes... it wouldn't be so bad if they didn't run it like a dog's breakfast. And they were the first to kill the sound of those engines like F1 has done this year.

Small teams need love too. :p Search for formula one fans.

alcheng 03-28-2014 08:15 PM

I usually watch them live, since I don't have DVR, plus those odd hours are the time that I am free to watch the race.. :icon17:
