Vettel speaks about driving now in the new car ----

"For sure there will be new elements of driving skills, different skills generally that you will have to get on top of and adapt to. It's a new car so it will feel differently. If you drive it the same way you did last year in a race you won't see the chequered flag, that's a very simple one to understand. But which way is the best, every driver needs to find his own way."

Red Bull and Renault are not doing well. Hardly any laps and they have battery issues big time. More to follow on that. I know its early but Mclaren looking really solid already. Plenty of changes coming but Red Bull need HELP :)

Renault, especially Red Bull, always has many issues with the KERS system, hopefully they can sort out the problem ASAP because the engine this year depends so much on the KERS system.

Newey likes to package things tightly making the cooling marginal. Thats the theory around the paddock now is the Red Bull design might be part of the issue. Time will tell of course.

it is exactly why they had so many issues with the KERS system for the last couple seasons.

I am kinda surprised they start the discussion only about a month prior to the start of the season.

.....and NASCAR is now adopting the CURRENT F1 qualy format and now F1 might tweak it lol! Strange.

DLo 02-07-2014 09:23 PM

I actually like the current format, but wouldn't mind Q3 teams getting a free set of tires to shoot for pole. That would spice it up!

It is a great idea and qualy would be perfect with that 1 change!

or if they can use the same set for Q2 and Q3, then have the option to choose the race compound.

and compulsory run at Q3 otherwise start at the back of the grid as "no time"

I think all teams should have to run all cars in all Q's or be demoted. The fans are paying/watching to see the cars run. NO run pay the price. Seems the extra tires will help possibly.

The first year that F1 came to Austin, I got the opportunity to Meet Mr. Brawn. He and his wife came into the store that I was working at during the time. He and I spent about 30 minutes talking about everything from Austin to F1. One of the nicest guys you will ever meet.

I believe team history and heritage sometimes plays a very big role on getting sponsorships, see Williams is able to get sponsorships with such poor performance for the last couple seasons and Lotus struggle so badly to sign a sponsor even with such outstanding performance.

Word is heat issues and the car might be hard on the drive shafts via the new K unit which is the new KERS. Red Bull saying the issues now are different than in Jerez.
