We might not be winning at the moment, but at least we'll be losing with style :ugh2:

I'm optimistic for the future. In the past year we've gotten a new owner, new GM, new coaches, new logo, and now new uniforms. It's like its a new franchise! I just hope we can turn it around and not become a perennial loser like the Browns or Bills...People are quick to bash the Jags, but until the past two years we've been at least competitive. This past 2-14 season was the worst season in franchise history. The 2nd worst? The inaugural '95 season when we went 4-12. Made the playoffs in 6 of the 18 seasons too, not bad either.

They're different, which is good. Just... the Jags aren't good. :icon17:

sad to say... uni's look better , but unless the team plays better, they're still only the Jaguars :bowrofl::inoutroflpuke:

The Kansas City Chiefs are set to make former Central Michigan left tackle Eric Fisher the first overall pick in the 2013 NFL draft

I feel ya!! SIGH....seems the draft went about the same way as a typical NFL Sunday goes for me. Start off with high hopes, get excited, then 3 hours later going to bed depressed. Way to go yet again Jerry! Not only did you pass up Floyd, but you traded down 13 spots for a 3rd round pick, then use the 1st rd. pick on a 2nd-3rd rd graded C????? Belicheck got 4 picks for the same move. SMMFH!!!!!!

Haboob 04-25-2013 11:35 PM

Was so wanting the Cardinals to pick Barkley. :shakes head:

I'm satisfied with Dallas getting a C. We needed one. And we've got an extra pick from the 49ers.

Supposedly there were some surprises, I'm not sure. I don't really care about the draft that much. I've only heard of a whole two people that are in the draft. :icon17:

Nismo89 04-25-2013 11:36 PM

Ravens select S Matt Elam.... im happy with that pick... not thrilled ...but happy with it :)

I think that was their ideal pick for this draft and a perfect fit. Patriots traded out of the first round like I expected. I'm predicting that this will trade a 2nd and 3rd/4th pick to move up in the second round tomorrow to grab a WR or CB.

b1adesofcha0s 04-25-2013 11:57 PM

Was actually wondering about this while watching the draft.

It's not that I hate the pick, they took him way too early and only got a 3rd rounder in return. He would have been there at 47 if they wanted him that bad. We could have drafted a top 5 talent in Floyd at 18. I would have rather we traded down again and picked up a couple more picks, then we could have at least stocked up on 2nd and 3rd rd. talent rather than reaching for a 2nd-3rd talent (in the 1st) just simply because all their 1st rounders were off their board.:shakes head:

bdavis89 04-26-2013 07:47 AM

Jaguars

Happy with the Jags pick. I preferred Joekel over Fisher. I'm a believer that tougher competition breeds better players. Not to mention all Gene Smith ever did was go with the small conference guy, and that hasn't worked out AT ALL.

Bills reached.
Cowboys are dumb.
The sun rose in the east.

Prediction: Rookie of the year will be Jarvis Jones.

Nismo89 04-26-2013 12:02 PM

draft resumes 6:30 tonight! (EST)

b1adesofcha0s 04-26-2013 02:04 PM

Hoping to see the Pats finally make a pick! :p

Nismo89 04-26-2013 02:26 PM

now starts the process/picks in which really find value. its the 2md,3rd,4th,5th,6th, and 7th round players that really make up a NFL roster and how well/quickly they can adjust and excel at the NFL level.

Rooster89 04-26-2013 05:55 PM

B1ades, lets talk about the draft in here. lol my phone vibrated all the battery life out of it yesterday.

:rofl2:

Alright fine :p

Rooster89 04-26-2013 06:02 PM

also, are you gonna run another fantasy league next year?

b1adesofcha0s 04-26-2013 06:03 PM

Manti Te'o to the Chargers??????

Yeah I'll be doing the fantasy league again.

Rooster89 04-26-2013 06:04 PM

I knew it was going to be manti when they traded up. Watch out, I still think manti has the brains and heart to become a perennial pro bowler.

b1adesofcha0s 04-26-2013 06:08 PM

And bam! Geno Smith to the Jets.

Rooster89 04-26-2013 06:09 PM

Wow. Just wow. wow. 3 QBs....i think the jets just troll the nfl

b1adesofcha0s 04-26-2013 06:11 PM

The real question is who will start at the beginning of the season and who will start at the end?

Rooster89 04-26-2013 06:12 PM

If LT and revis were still on the jets, they would have some credibility starting tebow with a read option type offense. but damn, they are just a joke.

b1adesofcha0s 04-26-2013 06:22 PM

They should have just started Tebow to sell tickets. I mean how much worse could he have been than buttfumble Sanchez?

Rooster89 04-26-2013 06:23 PM

I like Tebow. I think I may be in the minority there, but I like the guy.

Rooster89 04-26-2013 06:28 PM

Didn't you call it that this round was going to be mostly cornerbacks?

Nismo89 04-26-2013 07:43 PM

with the 56th selection in the 2013 NFL draft.....the Baltimore Ravens select Arthur Brown, LB Kansas State

b1adesofcha0s 04-26-2013 08:29 PM

Not so sure about the Pats' picks in round 2. Need to do some more research on them. Wasn't watching it live so I missed the post pick highlight reel.

b1adesofcha0s 04-26-2013 09:18 PM

Is it too early to declare the draft a complete fail for the Patriots? Doesn't matter, they'll still be contenders as long as key players can stay healthy.

+1

Rooster89 04-27-2013 12:22 AM

Its a shame that he is on a team that refuses to use him or train him even. He could be a franchise QB with some work.

Don't know if I'd go that far.

b1adesofcha0s 04-27-2013 08:22 PM

Well I'm feeling better about the Patriots' picks after reading some more analysis on them. More under the radar type players than bigger names, but can still be very helpful and productive next year.

bdavis89 04-27-2013 10:32 PM

Good steps forward for Jacksonville. Got the best player in the draft, built up the secondary, and got a couple of explosive playmakers. Hopefully we'll add a QB and some defensive front guys next year. Then we can start thinking playoffs.

Haboob 05-01-2013 10:50 AM

This is the best one I've seen in a while:

He's probably a good guy, but he's not a QB.

He refuses to take advice to fix his throwing motion, he's not accurate, and he doesn't have that strong of an arm.

If he wants to have a prolonged career in the NFL he needs to make the switch to TE or some other position.

He's not and never will be a QB.

That being said, I can't stand the guy. He's been way too overhyped. Teams only bring him on to get publicity.

Nismo89 05-02-2013 09:21 PM

what a twist!... deer antler spray is legal now LOL

Y! SPORTS

Haboob 05-03-2013 11:07 AM

That's odd.

Maybe they're taking the approach of, "If it's legal, maybe they won't be so inclined to use it." :icon17:
