This is correct. Remember, they were going to ditch him for Manning at the beginning of the season. If I were Smith, I'd go play somewhere else.

The only question is, how well will he play without Harbaugh coaching him and possibly without an elite defense/running game to save his azz.

See.. Controversy. Harbaugh ruined this season. Smith is a proven winner. Last year he beat Brees and only reason Niners lost against Giants was special teams fault. Colin has no experience, deep playoff run with him???? If Colin turns out to be crap, Smith will have lost his mojo but most of all his confidence in Harbaugh and possibly the Niners. Smith has been playin good football this year, Niners prolly jus ruined their chance at a deep run.

Yeah I hate to say it, but going with Colin in the post season has bad idea all over it. That said, Harbaugh is a much better coach than I am, so maybe he is on to something.

Probably not that well. He's a game manager, not a star.

He'd be better than Sanchez.

Yeah but if they just wanted someone better than Sanchez, Rex Ryan could start at QB

Do we want to watch the QB faceplant into asses or lick feet?

That's a given. Last time he was put in replacing someone playing like Sanchez, he wound up in the playoffs:stirthepot:

Sanchez is just totally demoralized. The Jets have no running game and he's not a guy who you can just put the game on to win. I doubt Smith would do any better than Smith tbh.

Things the jets need:
-Quality RB
-A new O-line
-A reliable possession guy (be that a big TE or an "over the middle" slot guy). Hell, even a swing pass/screen RB that can catch would be useful. They literally have nothing.
