I'd gladly take Revis on our team for even our 1st round pick. Our secondary is terrible. I doubt this will happen though. With the rare shortage of draft picks this year, I see Belichick trading out of the 1st round to get more picks in later rounds.

a lot of Raven Fans were hoping he'd retire, this puts us in a bind with Flacco almost certainly now demanding big money... maybe not HUGE money but BIG money, now we got Reed out there too, along with Cary Williams , along with a few other players as well that we want to retain.... im dreading this off-season.

Probably didn't want his retirement to be completely overshadowed by Ray Lewis' retirement. They were saying that New England might be a potential landing spot for Ed Reed if he does leave Baltimore. We have a strong need at safety and Belichick has always talked about Ed Reed as the best in the game.

I agree with the GM. They have always believed he was capable of this, so it wouldnt really change their mind. If anything not ever getting here would change their mind.

Flacco has shown before that he can play at a super elite level, his problem was always consistency. As good as he plays in some plays, he can be equally as terrible in others.
