Everyone is bashing Shanahan, but RG3 simply isn't the player that is going to allow himself to be taken out of the game.

I said it when he was in college, RG3 will have an injury riddled NFL career. He's just too small/skinny to be taking the NFL sized hits associated with being mobile.

Yes but that's where the coach has to step in to do what's best for the team and the player's futures. I mean it was clear to everyone who was watching that he was playing essentially on one leg, which made him an even bigger target for the defense.

Shanahan isn't exactly known for discouraging risky behavior from his QBs

I have the stomach flu so this might happen.

not trolling semantics... ur just wrong is all

one bad call didnt change the game. multiple bad calls did. they all had an effect or nine did. u cant pick and choose just because its convenient.

If RG3 had pulled a....RGIII and won that game somehow, we wouldn't be having this discussion. He didn't want to take him out and Fake-tan shanny believed he still gave us the best chance to win. Granted, both of them turned out to be wrong but hindsight 20/20 etc.

That said, this discussion is academic now but EVEN if we had managed to win the Seattle game somehow, we would be without RG3 for the remainder of the post season which might work out ok in Atlanta, but probably wouldn't in Green Bay and most definitely would not in SanFran.

I'm not so sure about that. Even if they had won, keeping them there for that long would have hurt his chances for coming back the following week. It's one thing to do that when you have a sh1tty backup (Joe Webb anyone?), but Cousins is actually pretty good. It was obvious for a while that RG3 couldn't move the ball and that's when they should have realized they needed to make a change.

You know, I think these are subconsciously making me like Russell Wilson more and more. I mean besides the fact he took us to a Rose Bowl, beat like every elite team this year, he's a super nice guy (or was in college), and that he eliminated the Skin's. It's pretty hard to hate the guy. I'll be cheering him on the rest of the playoffs.

b1adesofcha0s 01-07-2013 02:40 PM

He should win the NFL's troll of the year award :icon17:

Rooster89 01-07-2013 03:03 PM

They don't have that award....yet!

Not exactly? :ugh2:

I was just pointing out that putting emoticons in a post can look much more excessive than just ":tup::tup:"

But let's get back on topic, plz, unless you'd like to nitpick further

How about that Crimson Tide?

No care

b1adesofcha0s 01-07-2013 11:41 PM

Looks like RG3 has at least partial tears to his LCL and ACL. Will have more tests tomorrow to determine how extensive the damage is.

No, but there were some potential NFL draft picks on display.

That's ok and whatnot, but I knew the final result before the game started. Why would I want to watch such a bloodbath?

I think everyone pretty much did. I watched the beginning and then watched the highlights later. Their RB Lacy looked pretty good.

:iagree:

I remember a missed opportunity to make real history. Stick with Jimmy and who knows? That Dallas team should have had at least 5 rings, easy. :shakes head:

b1adesofcha0s 01-08-2013 08:06 PM

Rob Ryan has been fired as Dallas' defensive coordinator.

Rex was an amazing defensive coordinator. He should go back to doing that.

Just like Norv Turner should go back to being an offensive coordinator. Sometimes, you're just born to do one job and not another.

Rooster89 01-08-2013 10:14 PM

Rumors already bounding about lovie smith being brought into dallas.

3 Super Bowls between the two and a possible 4th one coming up. Wasn't talking about just this season.

Some analysts are suggesting that the Jets hire Turner as their OC.

It's always tough to separate luck and skill though.

Norv did some impressive things with a team that was garbage before.

Jerry Jones hiring Lovie Smith? I really, really doubt it.

Good. Now all we need is to get rid of the ginger and the raving lunatic GM and we'll be on the right track.

b1adesofcha0s 01-11-2013 12:18 PM

So the Browns hired Panther's OC as their head coach and the Jaguars fired their head coach.

Calling broncos, packers, falcons, pats...but honestly the pats game is the only one I feel remotely sure on.

b1adesofcha0s 01-11-2013 04:19 PM

My picks: Broncos, Packers, Seahawks, Patriots. That will set up Brady vs Manning and the Fail Mary rematch for next weekend
