To be decent in this league, he will need a team with a strong defense. a strong O line and a good run.. like denver was.

For all his charisma and leadership skills he would not have been able to save the Jets, the Chiefs, the Cardinals etc.

:iagree: He can be good, he just needs the right team. You could make the same argument with Alex Smith and the 49ers.

b1adesofcha0s 12-03-2012 08:08 PM

Well that was a hell of a TD by the Skins if it stands.

but see i believe Alex is a more traditional QB and would find more success in more places than Tebow would.

As a lifetime denver fan, you are undervaluing what he added to the team.

Anyone know where to stream the game?

not at all. He made the team that had that better. And it was his throwing and QBing that beat us in the playoffs.

BUT. he wouldnt be able to translate that into one of the teams i mentioned above.

Can't watch it on TV? Try the Watch ESPN app. Or you can try this:
FirstRow Live Football Stream | Watch Live Football Online | Live Soccer Stream

Not as dramatically, sure, but you could put Brady on the chiefs and he might win three games.

daisuke149 12-03-2012 08:26 PM

woooow. if young ran towards the side line he would have scored. No one on the outside and 2 blockers.

well thats a bad example for me.. because I believe that u put brady behind anything other than a perfect O-Line and hes a whiny lil cryin suck *** QB.

Most good qb's are, because errybuddy sucks behind a crappy line.

roth. griffin (with some more experience). rodgers and even to a degree eli manning I think would still win games.

Payton and Brady.. would collapse.

But honestly their lines aren't that bad.

In the case of some of those guys, they make their lines look worse than they are.

b1adesofcha0s 12-03-2012 08:36 PM

Look what happened to the Packers against the Giants last week. Rodgers got smashed. Manning and Brady can make up for a not as great O line with their quick release passes.

not this year but man 2 seasons ago the steelers line was soooo bad.

Shadoquad prolly coulda racked up 5 sacks a game against us.

b1adesofcha0s 12-03-2012 08:37 PM

Pats O line is always good because we have one of the best O line coaches. Our line has been anything but consistent this season, but Brady is still playing like an MVP.

b1adesofcha0s 12-03-2012 08:38 PM

Roethlisberger makes his line look way better than it is.

daisuke149 12-03-2012 08:38 PM

this year, Haleys Offense is making our O line look alot better with quick throws n power running.

altho they are getting much better. New players need some experience and they will be all pro.

He goes back and forth. He chills too long a lot of the time.

b1adesofcha0s 12-03-2012 08:42 PM

Pats bringing back Stallworth after the injury to Edelman. I like what I've been seeing from Edelman this season. He's a tough dude, but not too durable. Has had too many injuries this season.

Rooster89 12-03-2012 08:46 PM

I think Peyton and Brady are a different breed of qb. They are very pocket oriented and tend to use their brains while dissecting coverages. Unfortunately, I think this type of QB is on the way out. Remember the bears/colts superbowl? Peyton was a monster that game. He was able to pick apart one of the best defenses the league has seen in years. These two are the type of quarterback who makes their recieving core better. Rodgers is blessed with one of the best receiving cores there is. Brees has balls bigger than the pigskin. Favre was a gunslinger. Out of all the rookies, I think luck is the most like peyton/brady, and thats why i love watching the kid play. he is going to take a couple years to grow into it, but out of all the rookies this year, i would most prefer luck as my franchise qb.

also, i don't give the same respect to eli that everybody else seems to. He is more of an aaron rodgers type qb. where his core makes him play better, rather than the other way around.

As far as tebow goes, no one can deny his physical abilities or his leadership potential. I like him. A lot. But i wish he could find the right type of enviroment. He reminds me of Favre. maybe a little bit of Unitas. I hope he has a future in this league because i just flat out love watching the kid play.

And hopefully the skins and giants tie tonight.

Luck is going to be a beast, especially when the team gets some more of the pieces they need.

Indy needs to build a team like the patriots had to make him really great. Good O line, good receivers.

if you have the O - power to always pull ahead.. you dont need a great defense. Other teams will make mistakes trying to catch up. (my theory on NE's defense this year)

But Indy should not cheat if and when they win the big one.. that will set them apart from the new England Cheatriots.

i think it really falls upon the front office to take full advantage of this golden boy.

Yeah a high powered offense can make up for a lack luster defense, but you still need balance. Pats defense IS better this year. Other teams are always playing catch up. We had a lot of help from our 1st round draft picks. Aqib Talib has been working out pretty well for us so far too.

agreed. You still cant get away with a terrible defense but u dont need a great one. I think the pats d is good. but the reason they are playing at their level atm is again, catching up = mistakes.

at the same time, a powerhouse defense does a lot to make your qb play better.
Case and point Matt Shaub/russel Wilson

That's kind of how it's been for the last few years. They give up a lot of passing yards because teams are usually playing from behind. Their turnover differential is always one of the best in the league. We need some more pass rushers or some help in the secondary in the next draft. Can you imagine the Pats with the Giants' D line? That would be insane.

well lets admit one thing tho. when 6 of your games per year are buffalo.. jets and miami... its kinda hard not to look good.

honestly, I think the AFC north overall is the toughest damn division out there. Yeah cleveland isnt winning alot but they are in every game they play. barely losing.

daisuke149 12-03-2012 09:07 PM

im tired of all these stupid stats / streaks.

longest winnig streak when a spectator streaks thru the stadium.
Longest winning streak when the team has more points than the opponent..

wtf : /

Yeah that's true, our division sucks. Jets used to have a really good defense though. I think we might be a better team if our division rivals were better. Our record might not be as good, but we'd be more battle tested.
