Call me crazy, I just think the Lakers need time and have the pieces in place.

Just like anything, when you have a ton of changes it takes time for things to come together. The current NFL season was a perfect example of this in that the traditionally better & older teams needed more time to get going but in the end the top tier teams got it together.

I won't play the blame game, and I'm not going to panic!

Jamaica 01-23-2012 01:47 PM

i think its going to be the lakers rebuilding season.

Waiz 01-23-2012 02:47 PM

Celtics are done, Lakers just need time :)

Jamaica 01-23-2012 02:50 PM

its a rebuilding season. Celtics made stupid moves. But numbers dont lie thou. We are still up one!

KingZee 01-23-2012 07:09 PM

:wtf2:

Lakers are gonna be ok, I'll wait until the trade deadline to pass any judgement. I agree with Wais though, I think we need a decent perimeter shooter than another big man but D.Howard can only help...Kobe doesn't trust anyone for sh*t, reminds me of the years he was playing with...oh wait, Kobe's never trusted anyone for sh*t. He needs to start pretending like Pau and Bynum are the guys he won championships with, if he draws the double play and dishes out to one of those two inside the paint 8 out of 10 times we're getting a basket.

Mike Brown is definitely falling off, I liked his energy at first but the way he's using Pau really doesn't make sense as Phelan said...If I see Pau take another three I'm gonna drive down there and punch someone.

nmjaxx9 01-23-2012 10:06 PM

The Lakers are suffering from no leadership. Every great team needs a point guard that can set the pace of the offense. Just as Rondo does for the Celtics, just as Derrick Rose does for the Bulls, Just as Steve Nash does for the Suns, Just as CP does for the clippers. They need a strong guard (no Kobe is not going to cut it anymore)> They need someone who can LEAD the team and create offensives opportunities. In order for a team to play dynamically and well rounded, they need someone to lead their offense, someone who isnt afraid to shoot, and can most of all set up and feed plays. Right now, the Lakers dont have that, hence their lack of offensive hustle.

Waiz 01-23-2012 10:32 PM

But they haven't had a PG for a long time and have won several championships without one.

I'm still sticking to my guns and staying patient. I would bet the farm no one is traded and they will get it together.

nmjaxx9 01-23-2012 10:37 PM

Yeah with Kobe at his prime, but Kobe isnt playing like he was and cant be expected to carry the team like mentioned before, we will see, I still like the Lakers, cuz of Kobe, never lost respect for that dude, but the team HAS to step it up if they are gonna win some games and make it to play offs this season.

Waiz 01-23-2012 11:52 PM

I Aadded a new Lakers avatar, hopefully this can break some of the bad luck :icon17:

blazers grizzlies tonight

nmjaxx9 01-24-2012 05:30 PM

Memphis is leading in the Southwest division, should be a good match up for the Blazers, while the Heat are playing the Cavs, should be a lot of sour Clevland fans there to cheer for LB. :icon17:
