You like your chances because of season results. That has NOTHING to do with postseason. Its a completely different game. Everyone knows what the Pats can do at this time. Just because one teams beats another means nothing. Its matchups.

theDreamer 01-15-2012 05:31 PM

The ravens will not beat NE if they play as they did against Houston. We had one of our worse games all season an we still almost push it to overtime/win.

blue660r01 01-15-2012 05:35 PM

Giants ball

shadoquad 01-15-2012 05:38 PM

A win is a win is a win. Next week will be interesting. Remember, Houston actually fields a defense. The Patriots don't.

Go read the thread. I was responding to Shahid stating that the Ravens looked bad all year. And yeah I still like the matchup next week but nowhere did I say the Ravens were going to win next week, just that I like their chances. Confident yes, cocky, no way. It's sports, not life and death so relax.

blue660r01 01-15-2012 05:45 PM

Dude you missed where I said I like the Ravens....just saying.....be afraid of playing New England in Foxborough. Tom Brady is a monster. You're playing a real offense now.

Agree, Texans a much better team than a lot of people give them credit for. One of the top defenses, a top receiver and running back and a really good O-Line. I am just glad Schaub wasn't around.

shadoquad 01-15-2012 06:30 PM

Rodgers, DISCOUNT DOUBLE CHECK

m4a1mustang 01-15-2012 06:30 PM

That was a BS penalty

blue660r01 01-15-2012 06:31 PM

Told ya br0s!

Rooster89 01-15-2012 06:50 PM

Packers beat themselves. I refuse to give the giants credit for this. I just left a wisconsin bar. I thought they were going to start crucifying people!

The Pack lost, even with help from the refs. The G Men are putting it together at just the right time.

The explanation for this game is that the packers were lacking in their fundamentals. All those dropped passes, fumbles and missed tackles? This is just a case of the bye week forcing their offense out of rhythm. You don't honestly think that the packers who had one of the top offenses this year would get stuffed by the giants unless it was their own fault? I watched most of the game, until halfway through the fourth when giants scored that touchdown .....on a silly turnover.

The giants....well lets just say the giants didn't win. The packers just lost.

The explanation for this game was that NY won even with the refs on the Packers side. End of story. NY is better. You are so biased its pathetic.

:iagree:

NY is better. Refs tried to get the Pack back in the game but NY was having none of it

Rooster89 01-15-2012 07:04 PM

Yeah, NY won. but... it was pretty much by default. I am pretty sure the browns could have beaten the pack that game.

We will see when they play san fran.

Red__Zed 01-15-2012 07:06 PM

Pack played awful, but giants also came to play. They were hungry and their d looked fantastic...Eli was in the zone for most of the game too

Yup.

Rooster89 01-15-2012 07:07 PM

Look this is the playoffs, so all that matters really is the W or the L.

But I don't credit this game to the giants playing amazing. just being at the right place at the right time when an amazing team falls apart. kinda how eli got his ring. same story.

blue660r01 01-15-2012 07:10 PM

Has anyone thought that the Giants made GB play awful? Damn....get the biased opinions out the door and realize the better team won.

Red__Zed 01-15-2012 07:11 PM

The way the giants were playing they probably could have beat the team the packers usually are.

I would have liked a green bay win, but the giants were just playing hard.

Sounds like a sore loser to me.

Rooster89 01-15-2012 07:12 PM

Hey, I hate the packers as much as the next guy. I had to grow up around Favre worship! But I am just saying, that's what I thought of the game.

:iagree: I picked the Giants to win and I was expecting the real Packers to show up today. I thought it was going to be a close game, but the Giants really shut them down and made them make a lot of mistakes. The 14 points the refs scored for them couldn't even help out.

Rooster89 01-15-2012 07:14 PM

Although, Hakeem nicks really did impress me...

Edit: But I feel that his merits were his own tenacity and not anything special from eli.

Nicks, Eli and Cruz are all dirty.

Rooster89 01-15-2012 07:28 PM

Cruz normally has been the star of the show. But I really feel nicks upstaged him this game.

Jasonle 01-15-2012 09:26 PM

Patriots and Giants rematch?!?! crossing finger*
