I don't want to drink the kool aid too soon, but that was...fun.

Max's brakes on fire at the start and kinda running for his life in the first lap. Seems like there was more action overall without being too sloppy like I feared.

Great quali for Mercs, MCL, and Alpine. Although VER got pole, Honda teams overall sucked.

HAM caught sleeping and made another excuse for losing a spot.
BOT facepalming after giving HAM a lift for pole only to lose it before the first corner. I gave you a nice toe but you didn’t nail it.
ALO deserves to be in a better car. He was fun to watch.
PER is just trying too hard, the pressure of securing his seat I guess.

overall the sprint was entertaining, regardless of what Hamilton did on the start,
I am getting close to giving this year to Red Bull and Max...
Simply they are more hunger for it, my 2 cents....
PER -- a bit of a disappointment, agree with you on the pressure... does funny things to a person....

What a race! Glad Charlie got on the podium, but wish he could have stayed in P1!

Hamilton drove in the zone and like a maniac to end it. Hats off.

Hope Max is OK. Looked woozy for a bit and needed someone holding him. My uninformed opinion is concussion related, but we shall see.

I am digging the sprint format.

Son told me impact may have been 51G, was a good race and Hamilton does what he does...

My only question, is that happen to letting them race? Two alpha drivers and neither one was going to back off, to me it's simply a racing incident....

The penalty seemed particularly well timed to allow Lewis to still win but make him earn it. Enjoyable race although wish LeClerc could have finished in front.

Hope Max is ok. I agree with most that it was a racing incident although I don't mind the penalty. With a bold attempt like that Lewis needs to give room if he doesn't quite make it. It sure felt like LeClerc was scared Lewis was about to do the same thing to him on that last pass and you know he'd rather get 2nd than a DNF.

No Marko and The Twit Horner would have SCREAMED for a racing incident LOL. They have no business talking about this at all.

Max was on the outside and crossed back onto the racing line to avoid exactly what happend to Charles.........running off the track. He didnt think LH was there and is equally at fault - so much for let them race on lap 1.

They were both very very aggressive entering a turn and LH was on the side just prior to the corner. Natural understeer for that corner is to the outside.

Max didnt want to yield or leave the track. LH was on the inside and drifted out and Max turned and they touched. LAP 1 Racing Incident. Too bad they didnt take each other out and let some other cool driver win!!

Now the flood gates are open. The gloves are off and HAM pulled the trigger. If you can't beat him, send him to the wall. Shows how desperate he is. No more gentleman's agreement between the two. Can't wait for Hungary.

LMAO, do we want racing or not? In all other racing that would have been a racing incident. Lewis was all over Max before the incident and should have expected nothing less and he would have done the exact same thing. Max has the faster car and the championship lead, he is the hunted and need to be smarter. He should have given room and suffered the consequences and fought for the win later in the race!

Let these guys race!!!

Yeah one or two turns before the incident I was saying to myself 'damn.. that's some great racing..' then boom. It seemed that Hamilton had gained enough on Max to earn space.. I wish they could have raced hard like that for longer than <1 lap.

I agree on Leclerc fearing another Hamilton smash near the end.. maybe Hamilton's strategy. Not saying he intended to crash Max out.. but used it against Leclerc when he could.

Also with Hamilton attacking, the broadcast was stating that MAXs race lines were off..... agree with it MAX has to learn when to back out and again, had he done it, maybe he would have won the race...

Looking at the replay, it's not like Lewis tried at all to hit any apex. I know that's not always an optimal line and it also depends on entrance scenario, but I'm just not sure Lewis can really sit on "he just turned into me".

That's not to say Max is completely innocent here, but imo Lewis could've done his part to avoid the collision without compromising his own pace. Because the flipside would've been expecting Max to outright give up his position.
