Open lapping in the morning & single car in the afternoon. I'm from Bogalusa by the way

KaienZ34 02-27-2011 08:24 AM

Get someone to shoot some vids/pics and post them up here. Have a good time and be careful.:tiphat:

Track day was fun. Found out I had to keep a full tank while running the course. Gas starvation issue. I am exhausted.

Really?

Do you know exactly how many gallons you had to have?

I used to have fuel slosh in my Civic when I would track it, but it would only get bad enough to where it would cut out if it dropped below 2 or 3 gallons.

Gas is heavyyyyyy! :p

KaienZ34 02-28-2011 10:19 AM

The damn gas tank in the Z is shaped like a saddlebag.

Anything below a half a tank and I started to see problems on the big double apex turn, at NPR that's the only sustained high G right hander. You make it out of the corner and then run out of gas on the straight away. bummer. Unfortunately there is no quick easy fix other than keep the fuel level up or go slower.

TypeOne 02-28-2011 04:35 PM

Just ordered some Stillen stuff, should be in towards the end of the week!

:-D

KaienZ34 02-28-2011 07:58 PM

whatcha got ??

Str8balln 02-28-2011 09:56 PM

Bucketman is correct. Went below half a tank, the same corner. The same problem.

What kind of dyno? I would love to get a base line on my car. Maybe think about a dyno day for us Z'ers.

:iagree: Buddy discount ??????? like free :stirthepot:

TypeOne 03-02-2011 04:34 PM

We have a 2WD Mustang dyno...

Since we have just moved into our new shop, the dyno is still in the process of getting connected... we are also getting a new roller to support higher hp cars. Sadly it's not the most important item on the list right now as we have some staff changes going on. Otherwise, I'm not against a dyno day at all... Actually, I suggested it to my tuner.

Once we have more time and everything is set up, I'll let everyone now.

And Francis...

bucketman 03-02-2011 08:23 PM

Great, that's the same type of dyno that Corr Performance uses. It's always nice to use the same type of dyno so you can eliminate one variable. Give us a heads up when the dyno is set up, as I am sure there are a lot of us who would love to know our actual numbers!

KaienZ34 03-02-2011 08:26 PM

I am down for sure.

I believe Corr Performance uses dyno dynamics dynos. They read slightly different...

If you guys want to start a list of people that would be down for a few pulls, let me know and I'll work on a price. :-)
