MEET @ 9AM, we will cruise out around 10AM to the next destination.

We need to get another 370Z exclusive meet going as the last one we had seems like it was ages ago.

I say we meet up somewhere, then head on over to a place so we can grab some food.

I don't want to hold this down to the south LA guys as most of us have already met... so northern and SW LA guys chime in and lets get something figured out.

Put up a date and a location and we can get a vote going! I'm cool with driving an hour or so in any direction.

If no one is going to care, then I vote Baton Rouge, near the lakes of LSU. They have nice parking area and it's a public place so we shouldn't have any issues. We could all meet up there and ride to get something to eat at Walk-Ons near campus.

I'm in - Saturday August 20th is fine by me! I'll put out the word here on the North Shore and maybe we can grab a few more - Schedule it for Aug 20th. How about we incorporate a cruise around the city, say to the river front where the battleship is moored (can't remember the name - shame on me!). That'll be some awsome picture taking time... Let's Cruise, Cruise and Cruise some more if anyone got some other locations around BR. I don't want to drive there, sit at a restaurant, then drive back home... I wanna show off the Z's!!! Let's do it!

You had mentioned there were a couple of 370Z's in your neighborhood - once the plan gells, I'd be interested in driving by and dropping off a flyer (I'll make one) and meeting them if possible - maybe we can pull a few 370Z's for the cruise from here to BR. I know of one on Hwy 36 (a Glass Repair Business) that we can also contact.

BR PD Escort for the Cruise?
 

Anyone have a contact friend/relative on BR PD? If we get enough Z's (I'd say 20 or greater), maybe we can get a couple of them to escort us through the lights and intersections in the City - Maybe a couple of their Reserves. We do this in St. Tammany off and on depending. I'll check at my Dept see if anyone knows a contact name over there as well. We would definitely need an itinerary...

Ok guys -I have a contact name at the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office. Before I contact them, let's get an itinirary and a preliminary head count, say by Aug 8th, after which I'll make contact with EBRSO and coordinate.

I've lived in BR for about 4 years now, I'm originally from the northshore (Covington/Mandeville area.)

I know of a few places to go, but I don't really know how the police would feel about it. Honestly, I'm not really worried about an escort or such, considering this isn't really a parade. But if someone wants to set it up, it's all good.

The only places I would say are cruise worthy would be like through the country, although, I don't really know where that is around here. I have lived in the city and have only ventured outwards a few times.

Maybe the prairieville / gonzales area would be cool to roll through, but then again, that isn't near anywhere to eat or park.

Just say we have 20 cars show up, where will we be able to put everyone? Where will we be able to eat? Where will we cruise and how long will it last?

Throwing out questions for myself I guess, but I would like everyone's input as I don't want to be the sole creator of this event.

I'm down just depending on date and time.

I down to ride all day, but not street race or driving like we're 15yrs old like some folk. When it gets cooler we need to do some track stuff 1/4 and road course.

I want to ride in as many lowered Z'z as i can. I've only rode in my two Z'z one stock and one eibach pro lowering kit. I want more low, but also a smooth ride if it's at all possible. Please bring the GoPro's you guys.

So far it's looking like sat aug. 20th, hopefully early meet and greet take some pics then ride out for a bit, get some grub then ride on.

August 20th... exact time would be TBD. Probably meet sometime around noon I guess.

I can try and make it. Saturdays a rough for me working in the car industry.

Just me, but i say a bit before noon so we can take a few pics and what not before we eat.

But its soooo hot at that time.

Noon is hotter than before noon. Noon til two pm is the hottest part of the day.

I'm a gun toting redneck!! LEO's are scared of me!!! I'm down for a cruise. We have some rivers and bayous to cruise around down in P'ville and Livingston or we could do a Mississippi river road run, start or end at the Pastime. We could run way down the river road and end up at Hymmels (great hole in the wall place)by the sunshine bridge. Willing to help, just let me know.

The object of the escort is to keep the entire line of Z's together as we go through lights and intersections in the City - no one need run scared or make anything out of the escort other than that. Locking up an intersection as 370 after 370 of all mods and colors go through makes for a hell of a sight and impact on gazers and onlookers... That's what I love to happen- see them all drooling...

My thinking here is an initial meet up spot at around 10am. We then move out at 11am and cruise to spot #2. Say we hit a place to eat around 1pm, the lunch crowd should be down and we should be served pretty quickly - we can even call ahead and let them know were coming. Say we cruise for spot #3 afterwards and play it by ear after that... Simple with lots of cruising around showing off our Z's. If I can manage an itinerary outside the city, then we may not need an escort no matter how many Z's we have - provided no drag racing or being a public nuisance. I'll advise shortly on the program and we can discuss it further...

Great! Just joking about the police. That would be very cool if you can arrange it. Just kicking around some ideas. How many people have cruised thru St Francisville or driven across the new bridge across the Mississippi. Any good places to take photos around the bridge ? Suppose to be a very cool bridge.
