You are very likely not to pass with test pipes, just FYI.
To me it seems like they are testing through obdii to make sure they(sensors) are there and working as they are removing the roller portion so there won't be an "active" test.

This sounds like a similar test that I had in NY and if that is the case I'm not worried.

If I'm wrong correct me.

lol every state I've ever lived in tested the way that Cali is getting ready to test. Trust me its easy to pass these tests. Lots of little tricks to keep cars from throwing CEL's so you can pass inspection.

And yes you're correct...the same as NY. So basically they just check to make sure that the sensors are ON...and that everything is good. So tunes that disable sensors to keep CEL's from coming on will cause folks to fail.

Can anyone say foulers for oxygen sensors?

Legally... NO. But this just mean you dont have to worry about smog check. But you can still possibly get ticket for it or may void the warranty.

most cars didn't really get smoged, I think for brand new cars it is after 4-5 years to worry about smog?
