Big thanks to a local headlight modifier!

Just wanted to say a big thanks to George and his friends, aka paperboy42190 . He did an excellent job on modifying my headlights and they turned out even better than I expected. I had the headlights sprayed in a satin black and also swapped to the sti-r clear lenses (which make an unbelievable difference as far as the output and projection). He did the headlights on the spot (removing the front bumper too) It took them about 4 1/2 hours for the complete job and their price was very reasonable. Just wanted to say if anyone is looking to get their headlights done locally, pm paperboy42190 !

Great post, seriously going to look into this next month, how much did the sti clears go for?

They were $50
(3") STi-R - Clear Lenses from The Retrofit Source Inc

The StiR lens swap is a must if you're opening up the housing.

Thumbs up for George!

I'm looking into having this done soon, but I have a question on the sti-r lenses.

According to that thread, you need a spacer for proper cutoff, but it seems some people just install it directly so...is a spacer needed or no?

370zmarc 04-06-2012 02:04 AM

Spacer is not necessarily needed but definitely recommended. George made the spacer himself to get the proper cutoff

Ok cool, thanks :)
