Very true on all your points, that is some consolation for me then. I haven't been up there for the past 4 months since I got out of school so I didn't know they did some paving (which was much needed, some of the roads were in terrible condition). There are a bunch of smaller roads such as Latigo Canyon Rd and Corral Canyon Rd which were almost always empty all the times I ripped through there in my Saab. But you guys are definately the experts, do you think we should all figure out some loops to alternate with
or just decide on a route on the spot? Great video btw! |
wow ur oil temp was up there huh??? were u in 3rd the whole time?

Latigo has still not yet been paved over, but is still a great run.
IMHO - in terms of loops, as in actual "loop" which you would a few times back to back, my favorites have been: PCH - Decker - Encinal - PCH PCH - Las Flores - Saddlepeak - Tuna - PCH PCH - Yerba Buena - Mulholland - PCH (yerba buena is always empty, but the surface is not in the best conditions - no craters or potholes though, just uneven and gravely in several spots. We still ripped sh** up coming down it on sunday though - LOL) But I hardly do those in loops so much anymore (save Decker, it only takes between 10 and 12 minutes to run that loop so it's hard not to do it more than once). I kind of just combine one lap through most of those with some healthy mullholland and PCH cruising and sprint down latigo. |
