Although if we're pushing it enough for folks to have gotten sick on this run before, maybe better to not bring her???

I might bring someone from school but I would rather not just because I think she doesn't really understand just what a canyon run really means haha. My only issue with passengers who aren't as willing as I am to go fast is that I find it makes me feel conscious about taking it a little easier which could be a good or bad thing.

I'm always at a disadvantage? I'm carring a 140 pound dead weight Navigator. Lol

You could have had my dad, I can't tell you how many times I asked him if: "Are you sure you want to go?", "I highly doubt you will enjoy this", "the videos do not give justice to what it actually feels like" and he always said that it will be fun... On the run, the whole time he was complaining that it was too fast, there were too many cliffs, that we could lose control haha.

Same here when I took my pops up Las Flores this summer. My mom did better, but she trusts my skills more than he does. She's been in the car when I've avoided being hit by spinning cars crashing on the freeway - and that was when I was pushing the Camry. But anyhoo. Even my boy, 38 yrs old, was afraid teh first time he went into the canyons with me. I find you gotta take it slow with folks who have never been up there before. Do it right, and they won't complain. By the end of the ride, you should be able to go almost as fast as you normally would. But then again, that's hard to do in a group ride. LOL.

Hahaha, too true. My mom would be marginally better I think, but only because I can convince her it is all ok lol. I think this is probably going to be one of the faster runs due to the road and that everyone is expecting that from what I have seen (in regards to the Ojai run).

I only really go for it when Trips is behind me lol.

The cruise is every 2nd saturday of the month unless it rain. So I'm guessing the 8th.

Nelson, Due to the nature of the cruise to Ojai, it's looking like MLK weekend. The Dec cruise will be pushed for Jan, There after will do the Malibu cruise's like originally planed the second week of the month weather permitting of course.
