By the way, if you are interested and/or able to attend the Malibu Cruise GMR Edition, please chime in:

No problemo, I will study the route via Google Maps and find a couple good rest stops and maybe some photo-op locations.

Gotcha, I have added you to the attendance!

phelan 11-21-2010 12:50 PM

i have a friend who's done the 'cruise' before that might come. MR2.

i think 8 cars is enough for the 'cruise' though. anymore, it gets kinda risky with the LEOs.

I totally AGREE!!

christian370z 11-21-2010 06:09 PM

I agree too, I will stop actively bumping. From what I have seen so far, 2/3 of the people who sign up actually show so that is on our side as well.

Why do GMR if there is a drive there next weekend?

Hey Vic, most wont be attending that day nevermind the high profile event, so this area was agreed as a change since it got pushed back a week.
Your welcome to join if your available? Next months run should be done definitely with you in mind, Ojai maybe?

Jamaica 11-21-2010 08:58 PM

Hey Vic, we were originally planning on the regular Malibu area cruise next weekend but people voted in GMR as a change of location. Same date and time, just a different location. Plus, we have our group of regulars anyway!

It would be great if you wanted to come though.

just north in the national forest.

christian370z 11-22-2010 12:54 AM

Ojai is not as far as I thought from Malibu, only 60 miles. Is that Vic's stomping ground then?

So how many people are coming? If there are enough, I may bring a surprise.

At the moment, 8 of the regulars including all those who came last time to the rainy meet plus Phelan and Andrew (jamaica). It hopefully won't get bigger but we will probably try and organize everyone based on skill so that people aren't being held up or pressured and then just meet at planned stops to rest and wait for others to catch up.

Hahaha, I would pay to see you hauling that Mercury at the limits through the canyon. That stinks about the ABS, what was it doing to warrant having it fixed? Any ETA on when you get your car back?

Damn, do you have an ETA on when the car will be ready or is it likely you are going to miss the run?

I'm 90% going to miss the run. The ABS actuator is backordered. But I'm still hoping that the car might be ready by Friday. Most likely not though.
