This will be an annual thing for me and my prayers go out to the lady that was injured during the dyno session.

Mbreese 10-11-2014 09:13 PM

What a great time the past 2 days have been ! Really nice to put faces with some forum names . Gained tons of knowledge to start my winter build and a list of Mods I want to complete before Zdayz next year ! Would like to thank Z1 Motorsports for such a class act ! Everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable! Hope to see everyone there next year ! For all those traveling home be safe and Godspeed !

What the heck happened to the lady? Did she get too close and step on a roller?

From what I heard, she got too close to the blower and got her hair sucked into the intake. :ugh:

They said she will be fine, but will have a fear of fans for a while I'll bet.

Thank you good sir. I was a little disappointed with the judges though. There were 3 of them, two boys that looked like they were about 20 years old and a girl who looked about 25. They were volunteers and I'm sure they had a tuff job to do but I'm disappointed that the judges didn't have moor experience. The girl seemed to know what she was doing and was on the track with us on Friday with her 350z which looked amazing but I still think the choice of judges could have been a little more discerning. Then again my hopes were probably a little high considering all the work I just had done and since this was the big unveiling. I'm also really surprised with the choice for first place in my category. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed with that but overall I had a wonderful time and more than the plaque I won, the people I met were the real prize. Kaienz34, or Francis and Jon from z1 were a real pleasure to meet in particular. I will definitely be back next year I'm now hooked for life!

nomodsjk 10-12-2014 02:07 PM

As for the girl who got hurt we as a family raised 3500$ for her during the awards ceremony so that meant a lot to me on a personal note. It really felt like a big family reunion out there and props again to all the z1 staff you guys obviously worked night and day for quite a while to make sure we has a great time and you succeeded. You're all amazing human beings

I'll give you one guess....one!

exsanity 10-12-2014 02:28 PM

It wasn't that other carbon fiber Z, was it?

nomodsjk 10-12-2014 02:33 PM

It was the other full carbon 370z and yes they're both full carbon but I honestly don't think they are even close. He's not boosted and not wide. He did, however, lay some of the carbon himself so props for that but up close I honestly don't think we're in the ball park. I'm sure some people might disagree but I think even more would agree. Pictures can be deceiving but in person they're is a big difference. I was surprised to say the least

exsanity 10-12-2014 02:38 PM

I do agree that your Carbon Z is much better put together.

370z_Roadster 10-12-2014 05:08 PM

I agree Nomods. I took a good look at both and yours had the cleaner edges. I noticed he had alot of polishing residue where the wrap ended. Regardless, it was a real treat to witness both up close.

Great times all around, even if my Z did get rear ended on the way to Z1 for the show, it wasn't very bad just sucky. It made us a bit late but that didn't matter I got to park VIP right up front and Richard got to park his beatly Z inside Z1. At these events we need our screen names on our cars. Nothing permanent, just a simple piece of paper under the window wiper or something.

Time to get ready for Zdayz 2015.....Attachment 95493

avery370z 10-12-2014 07:54 PM

I agree with the username on the cars. Then people can put a face with the ride.

Zoren 370 10-12-2014 08:39 PM

I certainly agree with Nomodsjk with regards to the judges that was chosen. It seems that some of the winners where good friends of them and most are volunteers!

Honestly 175 cars joined the car show for $20 each now do your math. I feel the some of the winners has already been decided even before it started. Just case in point the one that won first place for 370z stock category was not even stock and I counted about a handful of mods done with the car.
I feel it was farce of a car show!

Never will i join again. I have seen much better Z out there that deserve to win.

Maybe for Z1 staff next time share to the participants the criteria's for judging.
You could have chosen true blue Z enthusiast as judges for the 370z cathegory such ad Mad Mike , Kleeman , Bell et al.

Nevertheless kudos to Z1 for a fantastic event. I take my hats off to Z1.
But maybe next time try to improve the way you choose your judges because most of the people joined where truly serious and have put up a lot of investment and their time to make the car show great!

I wish you have done the same in selecting the qualifications of the judges and not merely influenced by people who volunteered in the event.

Over all Im Happy. Just my two cents
Im sure me and nomadsjk and others share the same sentiments.
