Oh you mean the "stock" 370 with the amuse-ish kit and wheels. Yeah some things were definitely not 100% on the level, but all in all a great time.

Wish I had met more people to put names with faces !!
|
had a great time catching up with old friends and seeing alot of the forum's cars in person. That white nismo on work wheels "ttnismo" and the red 350z nismo, "HotZauce" were my favorites.
Glad to hear the girl that got injured will be okay, that was a scary thing to witness. |
Great time at Z nationals...a lot of great looking cars and like everybody said, it nice to put a face and names to forum members...it was great to meet people that we all share the same interest....shot out to kaienZ34, zoren 370, mbreese and nomodsjk, it was great meeting you guys and having some nice conversations...hope to see you again next year and hopefully at Zday as well
Btw...does anybody know who won 1st and 2nd place for stock 370? (not sure there was a 3rd place) |

I would have loved to meet more of y'all and talk and stuff....but I was hungover, woke-up late, showed up after 11am and spent most of my time there laying down in the shade by the Z Atlanta tent :P I left early too because I was so sick. This was my car though:
LoL I just noticed that I'm in this pic...I'm on the left side behind my car trying to rehydrate with water. |

I love your Z! It was one of my favorites! I was parked on the hill right in front of you lol |

What front bumper is that? (BTW, I was looking for you all day. :ugh:) |
It's the Stillen front and sides....yeah I went a little over board Friday night. I was either laying down by the Z Atlanta tent or passed out inside on the couch by the bathrooms. NOT going to do that again lol

One quick word about the judges/judging: I think the vast majority of the judging should be on the cleanliness of the car followed by a distant second with the mods done to it. I remember a couple years ago there was a blue 350Z vert that won something like best in show or best Z33 or something like that and everyone was like "wtf? his mods were so terrible!" In reality, he had the cleanest car there.
Long story short, it really depends on what the judges are looking for. Maybe there needs to be some clarification as to what they need to be looking for, I agree, but you are taking a person's opinion of a car and making a judgement on it. That's a hard thing to do in a close nit community like the Z crowd. A lot of people know Moses and have seen his car come from stock to what it is now. Everyone pretty much knows everyone else. I'm not going to say how I feel about the matter but the judges made their choice and it's final. Maybe I can help find some people from outside the community next year to do just the judging or something like that. We'll see. Lots to talk about for next year, that's for sure! Now......................... on to the pictures :) |
^ Definitly a lot improvement needs to be done with regards to the car show particularly with judging. Taking big considerstion on ones qulification/background knowledge about the nature of the Z. Not only by willingness or availability of volunteeres. As per cleanliness of the vehicle and amount of intensive manual labor done with mods without loosing the main essence of the Z should carry biggest weight. Innovation with design that exudes uniqueness but not looking to much tacky is another good criteria.
Transparency to participants of the following criterias with weight average is also warranted. Like I said over all I am happy with event great idea on letting the car show participants to have the opening parade and entrance to the event. I just fell many participants drove hundred of miles and spent a lot of money and time to prepare for the car show event and was handled poorly particularly with the 350 and 370 categories. Hands down to 240 all the way to 300zx was spot on as I understand the judges are true blue Z classic enthusiast. No newbies please. |
Now...Ok back to pictures can somebody post the picture of the 370 that won first place for the modified class as I understand it was not shown in the banquet overhead projector or I just missed it while I was busy judging the long slender legs of the girl sited next to me on the other table. Lol
Shut the front door! |
Lmao ! Should have stayed for the banquet ! I will next year for sure !
|
I have a picture of it but it won't let me post it from my phone. I'll try when I get home
|
^ thanks in advance

it still won't let me embed or upload a picture for some reason so I had to screen shot it on my phone to upload it. But I wasn't at the awards banquet so I'm not 100% sure this was it but this is the only other carbon Z I remember seeing. So I'm sure it had to be it lol

^ thanks man but I think this one got the ultra modified category if Im not mistaken.
This one supposedly won over nomods wide carbonfiber Z. Attachment 95542 In terms of cleanliness and aggressive mods. Nomods is the ultimate ultra modified Z! |

I did notice that the "stock", "modified", and "ultra modified" had no clear parameters. I saw "stock" Zs with a body kit? :ugh:
|
Nomod did I tell you that I recently registered and open a charitable institution!

It was a blast having most of you join us on the track and to meet a lot of you that were spectating. We also thank you for joining us at our open house and car show.
I do understand that a lot of people have a lot of good ideas for the next event, feel free to share those ideas as well as volunteer to help with the next show. With that said I would like to personally thank all forum members that helped us through both days as well as helping us with prep work weeks before the event. The Z Nationals has proved to be a great event for friends, family and sponsors alike. In other words this event only comes together due to people such as yourselves. Also please remember this show is by enthusiast, judges by enthusiast and enjoyed by enthusiast. Here is the modified winner https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.n...24316875_o.jpg PM me if you would like to be a judge next year ;) |

I know bro the last statement below the picture is meant for your Z. The beginning statement with an arrow pointed up ^ is in reference to the picture posted by another member with NOS. Sorry for the confusion. |
