You should come help me put my suspension back on or let me ride shotgun haha. I plan on trying to get it on the ground tonight and get an alignment by Friday. If all goes well I will make the drive up. Dunno where you are staying these days.

Due to the weather we've had and the temperatures forecast for March 7 in the morning, Nissan elected to push back their participation until a later date, probably the first Saturday in April, 4/4.

Hopefully better weather then and a big turnout of the regulars and the exotics.

speedfreek 03-06-2015 08:56 AM

That sounds alot better thanks for the update. I will plan on attending that one.

Datsun240Z71 04-01-2015 07:08 AM

Looks like a go for this Saturday, April 4. Forecast looks good with a high around 60 and sunny skies.

Nissan will be there with cars and videographer/photographer.

Hoping for a big turnout.

Look for the Middle Tennessee Z Club tent to sign the guestbook to be sent to Mr. K's wife and family in Japan.

RicerX 04-01-2015 09:19 AM

I'm going to go for sure.

Speedfreek, you in? I'm trying to figure out what time and if anyone will meet to cruise up or just meet there.

Yep, getting my alignment done today so I can make the trip. Got a few people that should be going.

Right now the plan is to meet up at the Shell station on 72 in Athens right at the exit/entrance for I65. This was to meet up with anyone coming from Bham. If not we can meet somewhere off 53 and roll through Ardmore to get on I65.

speedfreek 04-03-2015 08:46 AM

Alright change of plans.

Meet at the Mapco on 72 and Slaughter across from the Krogers. Departure from the Mapco is at 645am!!!! So get there early enough to gas up and air up if needed.

We will take Jeff Rd to 53. Then 53 to I65.

Let me know if anyone on here is going to make sure we can get a count and not leave anyone.

Great turnout this past weekend. At one point there were just over 50 Z cars there.

Thanks, especially to you folks who came from Bama! Hope you enjoyed the great showing of other cars as well!

It was a great turnout. It was the biggest C&C event I had been to there when you into account all the Z cars. I was hoping more of us from Bama would make the trip. I think some decided sleep was more important. Thanks for putting everything together. :tiphat:

I am parting out my Z. If anyone local is interested in any of my parts I have listed please let me know. I am starting the process of putting the car back to stock, but any parts needed will take precedence and can be off the car in short order. I will be making a part out thread for the masses as soon as I get everything off the car so I can attach pictures of each part. All prices on the used parts are negotiable. The items that are brand new are not (Fujimura CF diffuser, SPL rear end links).

The SS lines will not be coming off the car as it is more of a hassle than they are worth. I am not sure if the exterior mods (splitter/spoiler add on) will be coming off the car either. However the Stillen side skirts will be and will work out a deal if someone wants them.

See the parts list in the link below:

End of an era. Crazy man.

RicerX 08-05-2015 09:03 AM

ALSO - I am selling some AWESOME coilovers.

Let me know if anyone local is interested and we can work out a sweet deal.

Mysilverz 12-07-2015 09:58 PM

Mysilverz 12-09-2015 10:55 PM

Well the number of us in Birmingham has grown a bit. There's now 5 of including myself. I was thinking we should all try to get together sometime.

RicerX 12-10-2015 03:02 PM

I'll bring a Q50S to a beer meet. lol

Mysilverz 12-11-2015 03:13 PM

Ricerx you got a Q50? Nice. Btw I'm still loving those coilovers.

RicerX 12-14-2015 03:44 PM

I'm missing those coilovers and my Z! But the Q50 is a fantastic alternative when you need backseats. I'm surprised with how much I'm enjoying this thing. It's a pretty underrated car imho.

Now that I've already gotten my Q50 to get ready for my kiddo showing up in February, the rumblings are that the 2016 Q50S will be available with a 3.0L V6TT that the new Q60 Coupe is getting. Ugh. Go figure.

cjwsrt6 12-30-2015 10:53 PM

If i have my car back from the detailer I will be there. Good bit of GTR (2 R32s and a R35 IIRC) meet up with other nissan guys and cruise in together. A bunch of us have a little group chat going on Facebook to keep in touch. If you're not a part of that and would like to be, send me a PM.

RicerX 05-24-2017 02:42 PM

I have a favor to ask any Huntsvillian with a 2013+ sport package 370Z running stock tire sizes on the rear. I want to test fit a rear wheel on my Q50. Everything I have read says that the rear OEM sizing for the Z's Rays is aggressive, but I want to see for myself as some are running OEM Z Rays (complete with OEM tire size) but I don't know what other modifications were done, if any, to make them fit safely for a DD.

Hit me up in this thread or PM me if you don't mind helpin a brotha out!

I could probably help. I only have the 2011 wheels, but I am pretty sure they are the same in terms of offsets, diameter and width.

Very cool!

I will PM you sometime next week. I'm closing on my house and moving this week, so I'll be slammed until that's done.

derraj06 06-01-2017 04:48 PM

I'll bump this one up from the dead.

Just picked up a red 17 NISMO Tech 6MT. I live in Ardmore and work in Huntsville. Excited to be in a Z again and looking forward to warmer weather and meets starting up.
