Is there any kind of big central meet between now and the end of this year? I would like to finally meet everyone some day. That would be the best bet for me to plan for.

Can't think of any Z specific meets. Only regular car shows/meets with all makes/models.

Honestly, other than Z days, it's very difficult to get a large group of just Z's together. Maybe in Tampa you guys have better luck; i'd be willing to drive over there if there's anything going on.

And if I have enough notice to where I can get work off I'll be right behind you!

Yea, this is probably the best bet at an all Z meet unless we create a new one from scratch.

Unfortunately I'll be at Disney in Orlando. Leaving bright and early tomorrow morning. Anyone else in Orlando want to meet up just let me know. I took off this Sunday so we could do breakfast/lunch Sunday in Orlando.

I have been heavily debating this in my head. I know how busy everyone's lives are especially my own. At one time the Zclub of Florida was huge and all it had was 350z members (it was 350z Club of Florida). Now we are open to all Z's which I think is better. Yet we stuggle to have more then 6-10 members at Monthly meets.

I want to pitch an idea to several Z clubs across Florida that range from the oldies (240's and such) to the newest gen (370). Why cant we all have one forum just like this one where each club is broken down in regions? I don't want to strip the prestige away from anyone that started one of those forums/clubs, so they can maintain a leadership role for their region.

With my job even if I ask for one day a month off they get annoyed. If we made each region have quarterly meets (not monthly) that would give enough time for our jobs to have the day covered, and for us to plan as well.

Then once a year have a ZClub of Florida mega meet where we all gather and have some fun. This would be best somewhere in Central Florida I feel.

Anyway I have a solid idea and many details I left out. The hardest part I see will be getting everyone on one Florida based forum. We have one already but activity is a problem. I will need alot of support and active forum users to get it rolling again. It will of course need to be restructured for this format.

After we have that I can start laying out my plans for the region leaders to follow. This may sound better in my head who knows, but I feel it can work and revive some peoples lost passion.

i like this idea, i can comment more when i'm not working...but lets roll with this!

I've kinda been thinking the same thing honestly. Zdayz sounds awesome but that's a bit more of a drive than I'm looking to do, and too many miles on my car. Orlando seems like a great middle ground for Florida people, and I would definitely be able to attend those more often.

I like the idea, and I would like to help if I can. Osiris and Manny have already been working hard to get these weekly meets together, as well as starting some new things, so let me know if you guys want me to join in anywhere!

Good, glad to hear positive feedback. This is not something I want to rush though. The worst thing that could happen is it get a bunch of hype fast, people start looking for events to soon, and when the Club does not deliver they get discouraged and back away.

I figure this will take upwards of a year to be in full effect, patience pays. If this gets the response im hoping for I will need to have a lot of meetings with locations that can support a group that could potentially host hundreds of people.

Im also trying to keep it a little to no cost club. People need to also realize that hosting a large forum is not free, and neither is a large event (Like Zdays). Luckily my local club president gets support/sponsorship for our yearly poker run from Z1, and other big names in the Z world. It would be nice to somehow tie all of it together.

Like I said I have this pretty well thought out, but its just in the beginning stages of me pitching it to get it off the ground. I may not post here much but I do read everything and I know Osiris, and Many, are great assets to have going into this.

No, the meet is actually the cruise to Commerce, Georgia. Westshore mall is just the gathering point for the people in Tampa that are joining the cruise. We have people coming from Miami also; the Orlando, Tampa, Miami people will be ultimately gathering in Wildwood where I75 and the Turnpike meet. So we will have a rather large group from that point on! I'm anticipating at least 50 cars.

yes, as a Tampa resident, you would meet the Tampa group at Westshore and cruise to Wildwood to meet everyone else! :tup:

This is a good start. An idea is always a good one. Im IN with this plan.
Maybe we can start a small meet with people who have the same idea of setting up a new Florida Z group. One Saturday/Sunday breakfast would be nice.
I can drive all the way to Orlando or Daytona.
I usually go to Daytona 2x a month just to hang around the beach area and never had any luck of seeing a Z over there. Much less find wonder woman there.:tup:
Honestly I wake up 4am or 5am on Saturdays just drive around FL to have breakfast most of the time in Starbucks Valdosta around 5 to 6am.
Never had any Luck of meeting up with a Z.
Be back at Lake City by 11am and off to work.

Starting small is not bad at all....Its fun to drive early am I tell you no...party boopers around you can have all the road for yourself.

I would have love to join the Miami meet but have to fly to IL this Friday and be back by Monday. Tell me about being busy....but I do find time to drive my Z on weekends its my PROZAC.:tup:

On my crazy weekends I even plan of driving all the way to the Tail of the Dragon just to have fun be back Sunday afternoon.:tup:
