Every Z I see around town (rare) is usually driven by 90 year old people. It's a sad thing. I get all happy when I see one, I pull up next to them at the light and great-grandma is leaning forward and two-handing the steering wheel. :(

Price you pay for living near the beach!!

AlphaSnacks 01-06-2013 08:39 PM

How often are the tracks full? I was looking at Orlando Speedway and Daytona and I was curious if they often have dead days where I could likely have the track to myself?

I ask only because I'll be driving and reviewing press cars for my site, and wanted to experience some of the higher end machines on a track.

wheels, exhaust pipes, steering wheel, an engine... What parts are you around?

Niche79 01-07-2013 08:45 AM

Im from the projects! Bunch of white haired people and very few kids. Its rough around here, old ppl walking around the hood with their pomeranian arm dogs and always seeing them rolling down the streets in their golf carts, yah, this part of Kissimmee is pretty tough! :icon18:

OH impromptu meet in Jax this weekend, this is my friend and was also my best man in my wedding. So much temptation to buy the Z so im glad I did! haha

lol old people....I saw a yellow 370 on I-4 the other day. Had to work traffic a bit to catch him (middle aged couple) but there was an older white Saleen on his tail so I dropped a couple gears to let the FI exhaust announce my arrival (specifically for the stang...traffic was MUCH too heavy to consider anything BUT a greeting) but what I DIDN'T notice was the black C6 Z06 who took notice of my exhaust note and snuck up on me. Gotta LOVE that a 505 hp sportscar would pay that much attention to a little ole 6 cylinder. :roflpuke2:

What parts of town, damn you. You knew what I meant.

I see tons of 370Zs around University Park. But almost none in Windermere. :(

I was driving the other day and someone in an old civic was doing like 20mph under the limit and holding us up. Then they went even slower when they went to turn onto a side street, so as I was passing I gave a good rev on my FI exhaust to let them know of my displeasure. A rust-ridden 20 year old V6 mustang thought I was signaling that I wanted to race so he pulled up even then started reving his engine lol. I just looked over and laughed.

You guys are seeing mustangs in Florida? Yeah right! :bowrofl:

I'm down near the DeSoto Raceway and I swear once a month they do some sort of Mustang night. INSANE!

Huck 01-08-2013 01:09 PM

Lol yeah every once in a while I'll get one that wants to race, usually a stock V6 or one of the Shelby ones just trying to embarrass me lol.

MX52Z 01-08-2013 01:23 PM

Damn. I might end up playing bingo with the fossils unless I can find some local folks. Someone told me about a Facebook group but by the time I got home, I forgot the name.

Where am I again and has anyone seen my glasses?

Sounds like you'll fit right in with those fossils. :bowrofl:

otacon88 01-08-2013 05:30 PM

I saw a black cherry Z on Saturday night driving on 275 North toward Tampa from St Pete...looked like a younger to middle aged guy couldn't tell from the tint.

Csprad12 01-08-2013 05:47 PM

Anything going on close to me? I'm in cocoa Florida area. Not many 370zs around here

MX52Z 01-08-2013 06:01 PM

Was next to a breathtaking '05 yellow roadster with Nismo wing in Port Charlotte today. Of course, I was in an Accord so it would have been kind of creepy if I started hanging my toungue out the window and waving at the dude.

i've tried several times and for some reason it's next to impossible to get an all Z meet together.

Just have a small BBQ at a house centrally located. Then put out pics and stuff, and "they will come!" happens every time that way. OOOH you guys had something, I wanted to go if I woulda known..../facepalm. Start out with just say 5 and build from there, its easy.

OH I passed a silver 370 today in St Cloud going down 192, I waved at him/her but no clue if they even saw. Prob some old fart. Ive seen a white 370 convertable at the clubhouse in my neighborhood but was prob some 65yr old man.

Good catch, Fix'd. :)

Let's get everyone together. The problem is that the Orlando group on Facebook is spread out from Sanford down to Kissimmee. A central location would be far for a lot of people. Cocoa beach sounds good to me :stirthepot:

Where's this guy near me at? I'm really curious now to know where he lives in rockledge. I met one dude near my age a few months ago at a light, he was driving a black base model. I asked if he was on the forum which he said he wasn't, but that he would check it out. Hmm...

lolz huck. You wana talk far? Live in the Panhandle, your HOURS from any big city. And yet they have a huge group in the Z/G club there that is active every month. Ft Walton takes about an hour to drive to from Pensacola and then after that there is nothing till another hour down the way, Panama City. Still small Z/G pop because its country up there and mainly all military bases. It takes me an hour to get to Tampa from where I live and that city is huge!!!! 15mins to Orlando and its another Huge city. Those guys could only dream.....

OH yah an option they went with was making buisness cards and put on cars to help drum up support. Just some things to help.

Huck 01-09-2013 07:10 AM

Lol I know all about that, my parents live in BFE Tennessee. Walmart is like 1.5 hours away. Population of 750 people in the whole county.
