The advantage is the low cost of entry. Yes, it will loose some value but Kia, and especially Hyundai, have been doing pretty well in the resale market due to that long warranty. If you can buy a brand new people mover with space for dogs for $17k, drive it like you hate it for 3 years and still get $10k out of it... how much has it really cost you?

Also, BUMP FOR THURSDAY! Who's in for Brixx?

Hahaha - we're not married yet and no plans for kids as of yet. Looks like a carseat could fit in the Juke anyway

Speaking of the Juke - Crown Nissan found one for us (2014 Silver Nismo 6-spd FWD w/Nav) from a dealer in Charlotte on Saturday and received it yesterday... we went to the dealer yesterday to take delivery only to find there was a HUGE paint chip above the emblem where they removed the last dealer's sticker - I'm talking the size of a dollar bill where the paint was missing. They still wanted us to buy it after it spent the week in the paint shop getting fixed On top of that, it had the wrong navigation system installed - apparently they changed the unit mid-2014 build and the dealer didn't realize this? The newer unit has a bigger screen, mobile apps built in, hands free texting, etc etc... there's no way I was going to get a car with the older unit. Looks like they are back on the hunt for a car that meets our requests.

BTW Brandon - they still have that beat-on white Nismo on the lot if you want another

The goal though is to have a 'fun' car that can do those things - not a plain jane Kia Soul.

I have to bail on Thursday, it's our anniversary and already have reservations

I hit my housemate's car yesterday... Driving backward out of the garage and hit his car 'unusually' parked in the driveway :/ Damages on his car are huge, mine should be an easy fix.

Do you have any paint/body shop to advise?

Oh man, that sucks! I had some minor body work done on my truck last year at Image Solutions in Spartanburg but they have locations all over the upstate. I was satisfied with their service but there may be somewhere better.

Marcos is a good salesman at Crown. I would skip out on others even if it was the sales manager to talk to him. Marcos gave me a new car just to pick up my kid from summer camp while the dealer dealt with the paper work. While doing paper work my son robbed him of the vending machines. Great experience for all, lol

Cars and Coffee at Michelin HQ is this weekend for all those wanting to attend! I won't be there as I will be in California for the last race of the season, however.

Hi guys.
I got my car fixed today. They did a pretty good job. There is just one spot I need to get touched up again (burnt clearcoat).

I thought it was always the last Saturday of the month? Looks like I missed it... lol

Ps I broke down yesterday and ordered a nav unit for my car. After playing with the unit in my gf's new Juke I decided the base unit just doesn't cut it.
