But when I hadmy pioneer headunit in my first 370z i ran the wire up the back of the a pillar and mounted the mic on the top of the A pillar. It worked perfectly....Ill see if i can find pics. I did the same with my 350 as well

I just don't want to do it more than once, so I'm gathering the collective wisdom.

Well, the Pioneer is installed, everything working with no splicing the factory harness as well. I will also say it did "wake up" the Bose speakers....at least to my ear they sound much better now. A friend of mine who was helping hold things during the install commented that they thought it sounded noticeably better as well. I mounted the BT mic in what seems to be a good place, tested good with not too much road/wind noise. Will post a pic later.

Nice how well the aftermarket stuff fits. Where did you get the dash kit?

It's the Scosche kit, which I was told was significantly better... I'm inclined to agree :-)

apparently there was over 500 cars at C&C yesterday, hate i missed it. the race down here in AL is not going well, in fact, we're not even running the car today in race 2 of the weekend. we're having really bad electrical issues and spent all of friday night rewiring half the engine harness. it's going to Z1 today... hope to have it ready for zdayz.

Just found this SC thread and thought I would hop in. Nice to see everyone! I am from Lexington. Wish this pollen would quit. My Z looks horrible covered. Black covered with yellow. Yack!

There were tons at C&C, it was however just a large quantity, not too much crazy stuff there. The spectator to nice car ratio is growing to favor the spectators for sure though.

Anyone recommend any body shops in the Lex area? Looking for someone to paint a amuse kit.

K&B paint and body. My wife has mangled her car enough. Been there 3 times. They do great work! Pretty average on prices too.

Will definitely have to do that. Just got my new exhaust installed yesterday. Scared my neighbors to death. Weird that I have only seen 2 other 370s in Lex in the 2 months I have owned mine.

deuce189 04-29-2014 02:48 PM

Sup fellas, relocating to South Carolina from Seattle. New to Charleston, but not new to the south. Used to live in and originally from Savannah, Georgia area. Should be returning soon depending on when my company decides when my transfer date will be. Any good meets in the low country? PNW has a pretty strong nissan and infiniti club, going to suck because we had a lot of meets and a lot of events planned every summer. Be cool to have something of the same in Charleston.

I'm thinking of Z nationals.... at Z1.

HKYStormFront 04-30-2014 04:53 PM

Ah yeah, I <3 ZNats too. I missed last year to go to a race in Houston, but I will definitely be there this year! Being their 10th anniversary of the event, I'm sure Russell already has big things in the works!

AMP = a lot closer, plus it's something different. Barber is awesome but my lord they make you pay for it. Especially if someone screws up.

djtodd 04-30-2014 10:41 PM

True. I wonder if amp has relaxed their noise restrictions any since I was last there. Several people couldn't run as a result
