I was thinking about throwing my truck's tag on it again but I think I'll just drive the Frontier one last time.

What time are you getting there? A buddy of mine and I are leaving out about 8am from Mauldin so I'll be there about 8:30. We need to see if we can park together.

HKYStormFront 12-27-2013 09:38 PM

i'll probably leave here around 8 or a little after so i won't be there much before you either. i'll try to park away from everyone so we can get a few spots in a row

phantom370z 12-27-2013 10:19 PM

See you guys there I'll aim for around 8:30

This is a little off topic but have you had any issues with your hood dampers? I've seen so many posts of people complaining about bend/bow'd hoods it makes me a little hesitant to do it.

djtodd 12-28-2013 07:29 AM

Nope. They work great and no bulge, etc. I have heard the comments as well. I dunno if there is a difference between brands. I got mine from z1 fwiw.

HKYStormFront 12-28-2013 10:25 AM

Yea Z1 doesn't just put out stuff without testing. The shop owner has a 370 and they test products for months before releasing them. They usually try 3 or 4 setups before they decide the "best" one for something like this.

I'm open, someone suggest where.

HKYStormFront 12-28-2013 03:41 PM

quaker maybe? it really doesn't matter to me.

some of you were asking about doing full vinyl wraps on a car, here's the gold GTR I was showing you from the owner's writeup of his experience doing it and a ton of pictures:

Beautiful look my friend! Those are my all time absolute favorite wheels! What kind of suspension/camber are you running if you don't mind me asking?

I've been on the fence about lowering my car for the longest for practical purposes. Do you have any trouble getting around being lowered with the nismo bumper?

djtodd 12-29-2013 01:27 PM

Currently I have the stance ss+ true type coilovers. They are one of the few that offered a true type rear. Ultimately I'll probably go with a jrz setup, but will be saving for quite a bit as they are significantly more expensive.

I've also replaced all the control arms and bushings with spl (which is overkill unless you track the car significantly).

For daily use I run basically the factory specs for camber/toe. At the track I dial in the necessary changes, but for just running around town I dont need any more camber than normal and have plenty of clearance.

As for the height, I just have to be careful. It's fairly low, probably 1 1/4 or so lower than factory, and the nose is long so I just take inclined driveways and what not at an angle. I have no problem with most parking garages though.

You could easily go with a little less drop than I have with very little change in behavior.

Just text me if you plan to be there early, it's not far from me.

I should be able to make it...this might sound bad but does Quaker serve anything that's halfway healthy? :icon14: I've never *eaten* there although I've been for bike night.

EDIT: checked their menu, looks like I might be "that guy" who rolls up there and eats a Caesar salad :D
